Will Pakistan stumble along under elite capture Mafia or is there hope

Damn this is where I should have posted this. I was trying to figure which thread suits best. Since they won't let me open a thread. So here it is.

Pakistan should take inspiration from prosperous and fast developing Tanzania😊

yes we are growing and really well. we have fair share of issues but good governance in general is there.

Given that this is a melting pot; i ask you to come here. Long back we used to look back with envy at Kenya and even Pakistan for that matter in 70s/early 80s; but see how things have turned around.

The chinese socialism which Nyerere imposed did so much damage, it took us two decades to come out; we had same nonsense of IMF and devaluation. There is no nonsense from army or any other third force.

The word failed is conclusive, although you could be right, no one knows what the future may hold.

Pakistan at times can be quite unpredictable.

As the title suggests; elite capture.

The competent and skilled folk are not given a chance to contribute to national development and growth. They are indirectly, sometimes directly, pushed and forced to the sidelines, at times out of the country. Severe nepotism and corruption thrives at an institutional level which creates largely useless, defunct and ineffective institutions that achieve practically nothing but horrible, subpar management & governance, ineffective policy making and zero trust in them.

Tax money is used on large amounts of subsidies, and non-productive workers that don't do any satisfactory work.

Pakistan is in reverse, you have the least competent, unskilled and most corrupt people leading the country protecting their own pockets first. The truly capable sit at the bottom. This is contrary to nations such as India or like you mentioned Tanzania where the competent, qualified and skilled folk lead the country with good governance.

This is the core of all of our problems which explains the horrible policies, low productivity and failing economy.

We had similar issues trust me; it took one of our PMs who decided to go on a clean up spree. All elites, police and who ever was informed on was taken to the cleaners and made good examples. Foreign expatriates - i remember well - there were many UK nationals, indians and Pak people (no chinese then) who were into smuggling of resources - 24hrs notice, either give up all you have gained or 10 years no question asked trials; followed by deportation.

Education was given a very high priority here since day 1. Swahili our national language is the lingua franca to the extend that Tanzania is now the owner of all new vocabulary - did you know we have an entire department of linguistics to ensure that the language is evolving - new words are added annually; literature, magazines, technical journals etc are available. I dont see that with Ordu - instead, i watch your tv stations via satellite; so much is english words;

I think it's too late to ask that question. Pak has already stumbled.

@Imran Khan bhai. Hope you have done what I told you. This will now get worse.

It's the Pak Deep State that calls the shots. The rest are all Fasa Fiso...

Time was required to quench the Uncle's anger via enduring the self-inflicted "punishment", and I think it's done for Pak. Now is the time for some other folks to go through this "punishment" phases.....

Can we get an applause from all patwari members from here?

bravo-applause.gif

Loving you all.

Germany was also a failed state after WW1, and they became a super power in the nazi era, inventing the Jet engine, rockets, u boat tech.
perhaps we will see a similar resurgence, pushing us to create new technology which will leapfrog the world.

7th gen aircraft etc who knows, time will tell.
