The irony is that the corrupt elites and ruling establishment need Pakistan to be one country. They need each other and -- more importantly -- the collective resources of Pakistan to sustain their antics. If they're left alone in smaller units, they'll die. If Pakistan falls, they'll fall too. Their goal is to maintain a mediocre state ridden with debts and severe socio-economic problems.

I just hope that the true changemaker doesn't think like Bengalis and opts for separatism. Rather, they should opt for conquest... If you can mobilize enough of the population and armed forces, then establish a parallel national gov't with full institutions and functional currency. Once established, then retake the rest of Pakistan under the new order while stripping out all of the old junk, be it people, institutions, etc.

Instead we now see the establishment is literally one man, the COAS. Had the establishment been more like the American or Russian establishment, one man would have never wielded as much power as the COAS. The COAS position is one that must disappear, it must never be allowed to exist again with this much power if the country is to have any future.

We need something like the Packard Commission and then the Goldwater act.

Separate the troops from the administration. The COAS holds too much power and there is no one equal to him to keep him in check.

The men in uniform literally think that civilians are stupid and hence everything falls upon their shoulders. The sheer number of civilian positions being held by serving or retired military officers is mind boggling. And although I have seen some of them to work harder and with more dedication than any civilian, their training eventually leads to the downfall as they are masters of 1 trade and jack of none but are led to believe that they are masters of all trades.

I can assure people here that intention of the organization is not evil; it is their misled belief that they have to save Pakistan from everything and everyone.

Some positions are also then kept sa retirement jobs.

There is no reason at all that ANF, ASF, PTA, and a host of other organizations need to have military men in them.

Religion only guides in those areas where there is risk for some portion of the people to become losers. Everyone is not afftected by drinking but some people become drunks and lose their jobs and families and end up on the street. That why its banned by religion. Not every body loses at chance gambling games but some people become addicts and lose all their money, thats why it is banned. But the west insists on just using reason to solve life's problems but we Muslims have got divine guidance which is proven to be unaltered since it was revealed and the sayings of the Prophet PBUH are also saved by a separate method.
