Will Indonesia replace India in the BRICs?

.
Indonesia is growing faster than India. Indonesia also has smaller trade deficits, smaller budget deficits, and a lower debt-to-GDP ratio than India does.
That is just one of the reasons why India was downgraded, and Indonesia was not.
Bamboo how fast it might grow but it will still be shorter than coconut tree . Ask your govt to lobby in BRCS to remove India then . Oh im sorry they wont care you .

this news has truth but you can't find Chinese institutes in this list also. I did my Master of Engineering and also Master of Engineering Management degrees from UTS which is ranked on 143 with 5 star label but none from India and China has this '5 star' label in this list
QS World University Rankings - Topuniversities

but we find students of India scoring very high in different exams but the infrastructure of their institutes are not of very good standard :meeting:

The 5 star rating just means it has been checked. The University of California, Irvine, doesn't have a 5 star rating either, nor does Rensselear Polytech Intsitute, yet both are considered solid tier 2 schools (with tier 1 being MIT, Harvard, Caltech, etc).

Indonesia and India Compared

You might want to take a look at this. India has a higher economic growth right while Indonesia is performing better in many other areas. I can't find anything conclusive on the internet yet that Indonesia is going to replace India anytime soon.

Though given the fact that today's Indonesia is stable and has cleaned up her act while India still has plenty of domestic issues such as overpopulation, vast income divide, caste-based politics and corruption, there is a possibility we might see this happening in the long run.

And Indonesia being in BRICs would be good as a whole for ASEAN as a whole though for a stable and strong Indonesia is certainly a benefit and boost to this region.

Wonder why people assume Indonesia's inclusion would come only at the cost on India's exclusion? If Indonesia is included it would make BRIC's stronger but exclusion of India or any other member would make it weaker.
