Will Indonesia replace India in the BRICs?

Do ou know that most of the world's leading economists disagree with you??
And does Indonesia have a trilliion dollar economy groing at a rate of 7% even at a time of crisis??
Does it have a 350 million middle class ??
Does it have the fourth biggest railway network and the third biggest road network in the world??
Does it have an Arm that ranks in one of the top militaries in the world??
Does it have secular credentials to popularise it's united views from a religious point of view in the world??
ASA can only take it a little far.....it is isn't going to push Indonesia beyyond the horizon....

BRICS is a just a club of countries like G8. It is not like EU or NATO, it has little strategic or economic significance. One should instead look at emerging regional groups and unions such as EU, UNASUR, ASEAN, African Union etc.

No, just India. India is insignificant to US, Europe and China.

ASEAN too. It has worked out pretty well for us that our leaders fostered better economic ties with the PRC, Japan and the USA.

Indonesia won't replace India in BICS but it will be added to the countries BRIICS.

Heck if South Africa is part of BRICS with just 48 mio popultion Indonesia should be a part naturally. It doesn't actually make much sense when you look at it. South Africa with 48 mio popualtion is in the BRICS and a lower economic growth rate and lower GDP while Turkey with its 75 mio population with higher economic growth rate and higher GDP is not. How to make sense of this?
