Why Pak army not interested in largest wheeled IFV and APC

We abandoned heavy armour back in the 70s just keeping a token force of around 300 mbts. Primary attack and logistics and very long range required that we move to wheeled IFVs which were mineproof and yet be able to take on an tank. Hence Rooikat, Mambas, Buffels, Casspirs and Ratels formed the backbone of any attack configuration; not a single mbt was used on the front lines in angola as it was deemed useless and our doctrine is on fast moving configurations with equivalent firepower at huge ranges e.g. 1100km+. Crossing Namibia alone is over 1800km. Tracked vehicles for our environment have no value and slow down any operational capability.

The Pakistan Army needs to avoid the "procure this, procure that" trap. It would be better to determine two long-term designs: An 8x8 wheeled and a new tracked design, the latter gradually (and very gradually, like over many decades) the M113 and its variants.

Quite satisfied with Hamza APC

Contract is under preparation for 8X8 vehicles for some time now. I think Army does appreciate the diversity offered by the wheeled APCs.
Well good we should go for wheeled APC but also time to start looking for M113 replacement

. . .
We need IFV like Stryker Hamza looks like a car more than tactical war IFV we need to atleast grow these with anti tank anti air launchers which give us more options at war time

.
Instead of purchasing IFV outright Pakistan should go for indigenous production with a reputable foreign manufacturer.
FNSS PARS would be a good choice.

I would drive it over Enemy soldiers

However , very simple modification to add a robotic gun (s)
Simple basic Robotics and Engineering to add some Machine guns controlled from inside the vehicle

The sooner we switch over from Toyata Trucks onto these vehicles for checkpoints and other key areas , the loses we suffer will be drastically reduced vs Terrorism

We need to move away from this setup (As seen below image)

There is no reason why the enforcers of Law and order need to open in such vehicles which have 0% guard against even rain let alone an ambush

I respect the bravery of soldiers to ride these vehicles for their country etc
However we must also ensure they have "Technological" advantage on ground

Got exactly what we need to minimize casualties

Open Top trucks and pickups are a security risk for personel

The change will not happen over night however , this has to take place with planning over certain period

Role of planner is to see what the enemy is doing and counter it with force and intelligence

We need to stop the bleed , with immediate purchase of 10,000 APC units armored, deployed internally

Hamza APC is the way forward we will reduce fatalities by 90-95%

Nice setup to carry 10 Soldiers

Quick speed arrival of 5,000-10,000 APC should help fight Terrorism
With ideal goal should be around 40,000 APC vehicles distributed 10,000 per province

During Emergencies the Units and Commands should have option available to
Choose to ride in Armoured APC

The Army was not very impressed with the Stryker that the Americans tried to force down our throats a few years ago. I think they are happy with the up armoured Talha and Saad APC's.

With Hamza APC , we can have convoy of 3-4 APC , moving along carrying about 30-40 Soldiers 100% safe from improvised detonation devices , and this will save lifes

There is less chance of sudden ambush

It gives Pakistan Military an edge against Raw agents and Terrorist
The worse that we will suffer is we will have to replace a tire of APC or two tires

Similarly deploying these Hamza APC , on the checkposts for Airports / Military installation , key Embassies etc is a Must to ensure no Terrosit can walk up to check post and detonate

If we can secure 40,000 Units , for usage across 4 provinces , this gives us a Technological Advancement "Edge" we need on ground to fight Terrorism

Even with Indroduction of 10,000 Units , split 2,500 Units per province to be used by military Units in line of fire we will start seeing drastic differences

We need to reduce our Human Loss by 99.9% and inflict maximum pain in Afghan rouge region

@AZADPAKISTAN2009 armoured trucks don't change the laws of physics. An IED going off next to a armoured truck going at 60 km/h is still going to bring it to a sudden stop and the occupants are going to suffer major injuries even if no hulk penetration takes place.

The most effective solution to IED menace has been jammers and using UAV's for aerial surveillance over roads when convoys are travelling.
