Why is the IQ of Ashkenazi Jews so high?

Again the method of teaching. Do you know a Chinese can make faster calculation with an abacus than you can do with a calculator. The way they are taught Maths is very good. Look at the results of International Math Olympiads. Again, method of teaching.

During college they were the ones that really bombed the tests. They use to desperately try to get extra credit and tutoring to no avail.

My Professor always used to say, If you want to do research, do hard work like a Chinese. In an international conference, he presented a mathematical model, and a chinese student who attended the conference, published 3 research papers in international journals by making small changes.

Iran is the best example. For many years they were behind in research etc. now look at them. Did their genes changed in few decades. Behavior and achievements of a society are more dependent on Environmental factors.
KRAIT, almost 3000 years ago the persians first invented the battery, popularly known as baghdad battery. They mastered themselves in windmills based on the technology developed by the babylonians. The water management system "qanat" was developed by ancient iranians. So there is no surprise in their achievements.
And if you take a look at their fine architecture, you will notice what a superb intellectuals they are, influencing our art and culture in the late medieval ages of Northern India.

What was the point of showing us this video? Have you seen it yourself? It only summarizes some of the less obvious conclusions of modern physics, and reminds us, as some of us would do well to remember, that relativity is perfectly intelligible, to those of us who are willing to THINK, that Quantum Mechanics is perfectly suited to describe very small objects and spaces, and that there is a lot of work needed to reconcile these two aspects. A hugely advanced situation, considering our knowledge of physics even a hundred years ago. And it is a clear argument for Einstein's genius.

So you are the greatest physicist of all time, you did figure out about the quantum mechanics and the law of relativity, but there is no unified theory in this universe, the video proves that Einstein theory is limited in scoop and does not hold to universal quantum matters.
Does anyone knows about the constitution of space or even anything about gravity?

See buddy..this is the difference between the West and Islamic nations.

You attribute what you don't know or understand to some deity, while we research on to get more answers. Sucks to be you.

And you are stuck in every field of research while we have the answers in the Koran backed by modern scientific Data, like the black holes for example.
You are trying to go beyond your physical limits so keep trying or mutate yourselves to something different and try again.
Did I ask you to be me? just be yourselves and good luck finding the God particle or some other theory than the string one.
That is good to occupy yourselves, but just remember the immutable law of the physical world; nothing is lost neither gained in the universe it is all about permutations. and that is all we can try to do, so keep researching ON. and shew your tongue.

Well it can't all be genes. The intellect of the Ashkenazi can be attributed to a majority of the eight reasons specified in the title post. All of which are true in their respective sense.

The SC
Well the answers are not just there. They are more like implied. So you have to study the Quran in great depth to get to know all the hidden meanings. And frankly, not many Muslims do that nowadays. Thats why we are lagging behind and have to wait for the Westerners to decipher something before realizing that it was there, right in front of us all that time.

As long as you are obsessed with your silly theory that the Koran contains all scientific knowledge within itself, I have no tme to waste on you. Go find a convenient Mullah. Get lost.

Quran doesn't contain all scientific knowledge. But it does contain a good portion of integral scientific principles. At least the lot that has been decoded as of now.

Any reasonable person can live with that assertion, which I interpret to mean that views of physical reality are presented in the Koran which can serve as scientific models, on interpretation. However, there are then further implications.

Exactly. The Holy Quran isn't like a physics or biology book per se. Interpretation is required to reveal the obscure.

A very reasonable statement, especially considering claims that study and analysis of the Old Testament (the Jewish section of the Bible) has yielded important clues of archaeological value, or that study of Hindu sacred literature and its epics has yielded ethno-linguistic data.

Well, I may say the same...it is too simple to blame it all on religion or ideologies...There is always 2 sides to a coin. Everything doesn't run in 1 direction. Situations arise due to a mixture of causes!

You are stuck on religion man. I speak of ideologies based on intolerance. I speak of expansionist world views. I speak of rigid dogma replacing personal faith.

None of these come from religion per se.

They come from human insecurity and thought.

You can not study the Koran very deeply without deep scientific knowledge, so Koran and science go hand in hand, as the emphasis in the Koran itself is put more on science than anything else.
Not every Muslim has or have to inquire deeply into Koran nor does he have the time or ambition, this is a specialised field reserved for the highest scholars of science and Islam and they had to report it to the masses in a vulgarized language, which they did for over a thousand years till the west took over in the 16th century with the Muslim concept of putting much emphasis on science and research, Muslim scientific achievements are a testimony to that.
