Why is Pakistan afraid of international perception when testing its ICBM?

we need to cover Israel at the very least, just in case they decide to **** with us.

I feel that is highly unnecessary, how do the Israelis reach us? We don't share a common border or access by sea, they would have to fly over thousands of kilometres of hostile territory to get to us and they have no conflict with us. It would be wasted investment, though there is an active ICBM program, it's more immediate focus is to allow us to launch satellites into orbit by ourselves. Which I believe is a much more worthwhile pursuit.

I don't think there is a direct hadith on ICBMs, and the wherewithal to launch them which is the topic of this thread.

We need to be able to flatten Israel in the event that US ever gets fruity with us. AIPAC have made damn sure an attack on Tel Aviv is as good as an attack on Washington

Exactly correct. It is access to satellite technology that provides the real dividends of an ICBM program. Costly, though.

We've been at it since the 60s, our ballistic missile program is a spin-off from the SLV program. When we decided to go nuclear, we needed launch platforms and the space race took a back seat. During the 60s Pakistan was one of the Asian pioneers in study of the Atmosphere and lower Stratosphere.
