Well dear all, Why have you changed this thread into debate thread on Islam and other religions? I had great temptation to write detailed replies to liberals and non-muslims here, but I refrain from it because:
1. This is irrelevant to this thread,
2. nobody converts after such discussions, and
3. to refrain from useless debate is the command of the Quran.
All enthusiastic muslims, please refrain from such debate. Conveying the message is the duty of every good Muslim, but others people's Yes or No is not your problem as your religion should not be their problem given that you do not break the law of their country.

Rigveda Book 8 hymn no.33 is completely about Lord INDRA !!!!!

Rig Veda: Rig-Veda, Book 8: HYMN XXXIII. Indra.

Verse 19 is

Cast down thine eyes and look not up. More closely set thy feet. Let none
See what thy garment veils, for thou, a Brahman, hast become a dame.

This verse is about Indra, it describes his strength and compares him to a bull. The verse directly before this one discusses Indra's chariot, which has the ability to take to the air. This verse advises a learned man looking into the sky to avert his gaze from Indra's chariot, because a man of learning will be afraid of a god who is so ferocious in appearance (as Indra). It further advises to adjust the feet so one does not fall. The second line goes further into this and says that the Brahman had been cowed by Indra. It has nothing to do with women, or women wearing veils. The veil in question is only clothing, as in clothing that veils your flesh from ungainly exposure.


See how out of context ZN has used this verse...........there is no Women even mentioned in this hymn !!!!


It is not further mentioned in Rig veda book 10 hymn 85 verse 30 !!!.................and Ramayan mahavir charitra ........hmmm Where the hell is that chapter in Ramayana !!!! But when u read from,

So it is related to women also even though chapter is of Indra. And also in the last verse dame means what?

Fine now this doesnt have the exact translation like i do have. If you want to have the exact transation then you should refered the same translation.

Apart from this i had been to some book store checked same verse, it was saying "Her (wind god) to cover." There are many translations each one interpreted in his own way i think.

So, In your case i give thumbs up to ZN, he is just using the translated books. Answer u got from some link has not done any research. so your source of knowledge was incorrect. I do hope that you will change your opinion.
