Why Indian public is delusional on Pakistan

Just answer one question when India was divided what was the basis if you believe on that then why not Kashmir secondly Muslim eat and sacrifice cows why you curtail their religious or cultural activity since they didn't demand ban on pig slaughter in India. Why Muslims are being killed , raped and tortured for buying Cows since Hindus are sellers?

Why not Modi was punished for facilitating Hindus to kill Muslim in Gujarat?

There is no evidence Modi started or facilitated the riots. You can argue that he did not stop them fast enough or punish the culprits hard enough.

Yea, but that's not finding solutions. That is extending the problem you have now, and acting like the "current affairs" are great. When we all know the reality. I think the time is coming when the 1.5 billion people of this region just know there won't be a war, or ongoing hostilities from either side. When they can focus on trade and economic growth, vs. these stressful and war like issues that don't feed common citizens on either size. These fools in power, need to find a way to sit together and end this drama. Not continue on with it.
that is not coming with a solution. unless parties sit down or things change for the worst the status quo continues

Have you seen their Bollywood style media ? Every Indian after each segment of news feels as if he is Robinhood panday . India as a society is fed on fake illusion of supremacy hence every Indian once in a while feels lke an Indian Rambo on the loose.

. .
Too much hype, too much non sense talk..too much sensationalism or fake heroism , too much lies, too much fabricated stories and no action.

Those who act dont yell and scream .here people like arnab are even ready to take nuclear strike from Pakistan and are ready to give sacrifice of half Indian population so that others half could live with this pride and honour hahaha
[video]
about Arnab Goswami all i wanna quote the words of Kvita Krishnan "When channels and newspapers brand terror accused as "terrorists", or rape-accused as "rapists" and orchestrate the chant for the death penalty for them; when they act as stenos or loudspeakers for the police or investigative agencies in terror cases; are they not doing grievous harm and endangering people’s lives and safety? Are they not conveying allegations as guilt?" and hartosh singh ball referred to Arnab Goswami's anchoring as "scripted drama and he's often happy to a play a role"

. .

even if the riots continued with police help there is nothing to implicate Modi

Modi was a relative unknown in 2001. no one outside of Gujarat would even know him. he became the chief minister of Gujarat in 2002. the riots happened in 2002. he was a relative political light weight to even control his own state government

Why Indian public is delusional on Pakistan

By M.K. Bhadrakumar

While watching various Delhi TV channels tonight on issues surrounding Sunday’s attack on Uri base, one gets the depressing feeling that we are being delusional. What is lacking is an ethical standard that the media should not incite the public opinion by feeding it with such patent falsehoods.
We are living in a fool’s paradise, being led up the garden path by a bombastic leadership and led to believe falsely that the international community is rooting for India, that thanks to our prime minister’s vigorous efforts, the country’s prestige is soaring sky-high, etc. and, therefore, Pakistan stands ‘isolated’.
In reality, though, the readout of the US State Department on the meeting between Secretary of State John Kerry and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in New York on September 20 should come as an eye-opener. The full text of the readout is reproduced below:

  • Secretary Kerry met Monday with Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif to discuss our strong, long-term bilateral partnership and to build upon the U.S.-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue. The Secretary commended the Prime Minister for restoring macroeconomic stability to Pakistan over the last three years and expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s cooperation on climate change priorities.
  • The Secretary reiterated the need for Pakistan to prevent all terrorists from using Pakistani territory as safe havens, while commending recent efforts by Pakistani security forces to counter extremist violence. They also spoke about regional issues, including recent developments with regard to Afghanistan. The Prime Minister and Secretary Kerry expressed strong concern with recent violence in Kashmir — particularly the army base attack — and the need for all sides to reduce tensions.
  • Secretary Kerry also stressed the need for restraint in nuclear weapons programs. The Secretary praised Pakistan for hosting Afghan refugees for over 40 years and highlighted the importance of continued respect for humanitarian principles.
This is a carefully worded document, drafted with the full knowledge of the horrific attack that took place on Uri base over 36 hours ago on Sunday.
Nonetheless, such manifestly effusive sentiments and fulsome praise for Pakistan have been attributed to Kerry.
See the expressions that have been used in the document with great deliberation – “strong, long-term bilateral partnership”; “commended the Prime Minister”; “expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s cooperation”; “commending recent efforts by Pakistani security forces to counter extremist violence”; “praised Pakistan for hosting Afghan refugees for over 40 years”, et al.
Most significantly, the reference to J&K is framed as the shared opinion of Sharif and Kerry – “The Prime Minister and Secretary Kerry expressed strong concern with recent violence in Kashmir — particularly the army base attack — and the need for all sides to reduce tensions.” (US readout)
What does the above single sentence imply in plain language, shorn of diplomatic idiom?

  • One, US is not willing to censure Pakistan;
  • Two, US shares Pakistan’s “strong concern over recent violence in Kashmir”;
  • Three, the Uri base attack is to be seen in the context of the 2-month old upheaval in Kashmir Valley; and,
  • Four, US agrees with Pakistan on the need to reduce tensions (read on the imperative need of India-Pakistan talks).
Now, unless we shake ourselves free of the myopic vision regarding ourselves that has been systematically created by our ruling elites through the past 2-year period, ably assisted by the unscrupulous TV channels in Delhi day in and day out, we will come to grief, sooner rather than later.
This is all nothing but Goebbelsian lies that we are being fed. The result is that apparently almost two-thirds Indians are reportedly clamouring for military action against Pakistan. The ruling elites know they are riding a tiger and if they dismount at this juncture, the public opinion will devour them for not living up to the myths the credulous public has been led to believe all this while.
Alas, the Indian public does not know that the realities of the security environment surrounding India today are pretty grim and we desperately need an exit strategy. But then, our strategic choices are virtually nil today, thanks to the nuclear stalemate and Pakistan’s stockpile of tactical weapons that can neutralize us (on their territory) without even giving cause to provoke (or justify) a nuclear counter-strike by us.
These are theatre weapons which have limited and focused usage in a specific area, but will annihilate the enemy in real time. Our public should realize that hot pursuit, etc. has become sheer figment of imagination good for only TV debates.
Read an insightful perspective by the well-known US pundit George Perkovich on the strategic dilemma India faces today vis-à-vis Pakistan – Perkovich candidly says that India has run out of options and has no way of addressing the challenge of terrorism on an enduring basis except by engaging the people of the Valley politically, and the alternative will be a seamless asymmetric war. India Still have people like this Gentleman.

Why i think indian media and public already or really soon gone brand him Enemy of state or Pakistani spy

Amen World Still have Hope

I find that most Indians have preconceived ideas about pakistan that are usually completely off base. Their prejudices are based on their understandings from a biased medium i.e. their media (both the news and bollywood), their historical experiences (stories of fear passed down by their grandparents), and their cultural programming. Indians are generally patriotic with a exaggerated yet false sense of high avheivers. They are the type to look at the glass have full when it comes to their nation.

I am amazed even on this forum how skewed Indian views are of Pakistan. They view us as a backwards nation awash with religious extremism and intolerance. I have said it a million times, come to pakistan and experience hospitality like you never have.

On the other hand, I find that Pakistanis generally have a better understanding of India than Indians do of Pakistan. This is because we are more exposed to India media than they are to ours. Both news media and the overwhelming influx of bollywood. Pakistanis are patriots of another type than Indians. We are a lot more critical by nature and are mostly pessimistic. We are the type who look at the glass half empty types. I also find that Pakistani liberals are more forgiving (sometimes overly more so) of India. This is also reflected in pakistan's more left leaning media such as Dawn news and Geo news etc. Indian media is mostly always hostile against pakistan. On the flip side, Pakistani religious establishment has spewed hatred against the Hindu (and other minorities) for a long time. This is beginning to change as most people now recognize the Wahaabi extremism for what they are. And extremism has never been a dominant force by any measure.

But when push come to shove, Pakistanis rally together a lot more fearlessly than the Indians. As a group we fear less because history has made us strong in a neighbourhood where many have viewed pakistan as a "mistake" or an artificial creation. Since the birth of Pakistan we have had to face hostile adversaries. Afghans view us with hostility because of their own failures. Indians hate us because they can never forget the real estate they lost. Like Kashmir, Indians hate the kashmiris but love the kashmiris real estate... they too hate the Pakistanis but envy the real estate.

Stay strong Pakistan! Love forever! Because we don't have another "home".

I always find it amusing when bharatis claim that the whole world agrees with them on Pakistan and that the whole world looks down upon Pakistan and that bharat has isolated Pakistan. Are the bharatis living in a parallel universe? Except of a few states, namely bharat itself, Afghanistan and Israel no one else seems to be living in this world. Most states have good and open relations with Pakistan. Bharatis have to realize that the world of 2016 is different than 5-10 years ago. Vast majority of the terrorist threats today emanate from the MENA region. The world that bharatis think exists where all terrorist attacks are linked to Pakistan never existed and it is especially much less true today than it was a decade ago.

Most bharatis live in this bubble and feed off of their jingoistic media. Whilst the world moves on.

Buddy either you are a blind supporter or you have a lack of knowledge. Police comes directly under the chief minister of state. CM is answerable because police is under his command. They can not act on their own. I'll quote you relevant lines from an article.

''Each state and union territory of India has a state police force, headed by the Commissioner of Police (State) or Director General of Police (DGP). Each state is controlled by the Chief Minister and Home Minister. The state police is responsible for maintaining law and order in townships of the state and the rural areas.''

So whether you like it or not you people have elected a person who is directly responsible for mass murder of muslims.

On topic- like we all know its the Indian media that brings shame to their government and the people. Some people in India I believe do realize that their media is not at all responsible and lies a lot of times. But since its 'indian media' they won't accept it in front of Pakistanis because most of their arguments with us are based on the news from their media. They seriously need to regulate media without political pressures and interests so that they can actually see a neutral side of things.

Sometimes, I hate our media when they badly criticise some actions of our institutions, blame them for their wrong policies. criticise our govt. like shit for all their mistakes, wether it is a bad decision regarding India(even if it helping rage public against India). But now, I do realize that it is all good. They dont let us live in a dream-world. They tell us facts. and that is why I know that India is a larger country then us, they have a larger army, better equipped, have a larger military arsenal and what-not? But I also know that we can successfully deter any sort of aggression.
Its simple. They can't go a full-scale war! We are also Nuclear.
They can't go on a limited scale-war, we have Nasr.

On the other hand, the "bollywood-style" Indian media makes our neighbors live in some sort of fantasy world, where thye make their public think that we are just a small, shit-hole, no use, terrorist country and cant do shit if Indian leadership decides to take a military action.

Just saying guys, buts that not how things are in real life. Just google stuff from our point of view and try to see both sides of the picture.

I personally think its good for us if we look at it as India Vs Pakistan. Cuz, when the reality eventually comes up. They'd be a in shock for half of their lives.

in theory it is true the chief minister has control. it is like saying chief minister of Sind has full control over everything that happens in Sind

Not just in theory but in tense situations police takes order from CM office before acting. So the CM is held responsible since police doesn't act on its own. Bottom line is that modi is responsible for the riots going to such extreme and the killings.

. .
what is the problem ??
