Why Indian identity would collapse without the existence of Pakistan

Conjoined with this image was that of India Shining. At the turn of the century, India was reinventing itself, emerging as a strong economic hub while Pakistan was drowning further into sectarian and religious conflict. I had no doubt that in a few years India would emerge as a major economic power.
Totally unnecessary title by the OP.
The predictions of the author have come true and today India stands in the league of worlds major economies improving its situation a lot then what it was in the 1980s.
Furthermore the history of India is dated back more then thousands of years ago and it is termed as one of the oldest civilization of the world along with China.
If a country is encouraging terrorism in a country. If a country speaks against you in every international front. If a country is trying to weaken your economy by pumping fake currency notes in your country and if a country sees you as their hard core enemy and will do anything to damage your interest then you are bound to give a lot more attention to that country then you should.
India and Pakistan were a same country 60 years ago and since a bloody partition have fought 4 wars and have been face to face on many occasions, we have almost same culture, same food, same language, same taste the only thing that differentiate us is the Minority in India is a Majority in Pakistan and vice-versa.
Went went different for India is that since 1991 we opted for a much more liberal and capitalist approach and it gave us the opportunity to rapidly improve the prosperity of both the country and its people. While for Pakistan it is very important to not to dismantle its own history because you only evolve from what you once were and try and build their great nation with pride and honor towards their history.

Then why are you crying about JEM, JAMMT DAWA, LASHKAR I TAIBA otherwise they are not involved in any case with the minorities of Pakistan. The crow always eats the excrement and cleans its beak.
Off topic : But you forgot that by eating the excrement, the crow also cleans the mess.

Plus sir there are no minorities left in Pakistan, refer your consensus data for the same.

Plus by quoting you I made a point that in India both majority & minority has equal rights, they both have extremist groups and they both are responsible for communal riots. I replied to your post, just because you mentioned Gujarat. I will still ask you to read about that incident from some neutral source, it will give you clear idea of what happened and ratio of causality on both sides.

And why I am asking you to read, because I was a student and resident of Gujarat when this incident happened.

What? You just killed entire archeological community of the world.

By the way, oldest civilization civilization is Sumerian present day Iraq.

we are worried only about what happens in Pakistan when it starts hurting our nation but then most Pakistanies think whole world is conspiring against them and they are the most powerfull pios , reasonable and peace loving muslim nation on face of the earth but trust me sir if Pakistani youth dose not take initiative to change Pakistan and solve its problems no one else will do it for you and those who you think are doing it only time will tell you the hard way that no one dose charity for friendship its all good till its in there interests once its achieved we know how British east india company treated rajas and nawabs before 1857 revolt after the same rajas , nawabs helped british to neutralize maratha threat and how USA treated Pakistan once USSR was defeated in Afghanistan and now ....?

Because a Pakistani is saying so? Indeed. LOLWA

Because the names you have written are banned or are designated terrorist organization by UN and other countries.

is there any living example of old Sumerian civilization present today but we indians even then were hindus and even now are hindus and just like that era still beleve in vedas and knowledge it gave and speak more or less the same language and worship the same gods and the fact that ancient greeks callled south asia as indica and even alexender came here to find its riches while christopher comobus discovered america and called native americans as red indians when he started of his journey to discover india so what does that suggests you sir ?

You just googled a text and came up with the answer.:disagree::disagree:

Cradle of civilization - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And FYI, Indian culture is 7500 BC older and you are part of it. :agree::agree:

Indian civilization is one of the oldest in the world.
10 oldest Ancient civilizations ever existed

Your response shows lack of confidence and pride in your own civilization which flourished around Ganges river hence the sacred status for it. I can only advise you to feel proud of your origins. It is precisely the lack of respect for Ganges that prompts you guys to try and steal Indus Valley Civilization. So what if it predates your civilization and made spectacular planned cities, first ever in the world? It predates Western civilization as well but they don't try to steal it! They are proud of what they have and who they are. You should be too.

As far we bring part of you? Oh well, that's an easy one. Genetic mapping has been done for every region of the world. Search up genetic make up of Indians and Pakistanis and the answer will pop up straight. Pakistanis will bunch up together distinctly away from Indian populace. No way they could ever be part of same group. Well actually genetic make up of India will tell you India is neither a nation nor a civilization by any stretch.

The name India gets from one of Pakistan's river is, one a foreign name which refers to geographical area not a civilization or nation and two, it points to insignificance that wider world attached to the area in ancient times. They didn't call it by any indigenous name (actually there was hardly any) nor did they care who lives there and what happens there.

Due credit must be given to Maurian empire however. 300 years of this period is the only time when this region can be claimed to be united under one indigenous ruler. That's 300 years in more than 5000 years of history. For the rest, Indus region has remained on its own most of the time which explains distinct genetic make up of Pakistanis today. For the most part, region of Pakistan remained oriented towards Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran and Arab regions for trade and cultural influence.

And by the way, search up Mehr Garh archeological site. It will tell you where did civilization begin. Do you guys ever wonder why there are no ancient grand Hindu temples in entire Pakistan? You say this place is your birth place and not a grand temple here? Katas Raj which apparently wasn't important enough that entire Hindu community of area abandoned it? Why nobody was floating corpses in Indus river before 1947? Ever wonder on these questions or they just too uncomfortable to be asked?

The IVC also known as the Harrapan civilization & somewhat controversially in some quarters as the Indus Sarawati or Indus - Hakra Ghaggar civilization stretched across today's borders to include sites in north eastern Afghanistan , practically the whole of Pak , right upto what is today the western parts of UP, Haryana, Parts of Jammu , Rajasthan , most of Gujarat & the extreme north of Maharashtra.IVC sites have been located as far as Turkmenistan & the banks of the Oxus river in the extreme north of Afghanistan.

The pottery of the later IVC / Harappan period circa 1900 onwards has shown remarkable similarities to the Painted Grey ware sculpture of the Ganges civilization which is now being seen in many quarters as a direct descendant to the IVC with the same people moving further east into the Ganges valley after the collapse of the IVC.

All this is well documented in IVC - Wikipedia . Even a cursory reading would expose the half truths you have used to bolster your case.

The religion followed in the IVC is strictly animist with the cult of the Mother Goddess also prevailing here - as was the case in corresponding religions in Elam , Crete - all direct pointers to a proto Hindu religion.

The language suggests a link to proto Elamite Dravidian or Dravidian in some quarters or a proto Austroasiatic language like the Munda spoken by aboriginal tribes in Central & Eastern India, suggested by others .

None of these languages are native to Pakistan today ( Speakers of Brahui - a language belonging to the Dravidian family being the only exception )

One of the reasons why India has laid claim to this shared heritage is both - due to the abnegation of this shared heritage following the creation of Pak (as Pakistan sought to re write its history books in purely religious terms as the pre Mohammed Bin Qasim era equivalent to Jahiliyya & the post MOHAMMED Bin Qasim era as the era of Islamic enlightenment ) as well as the discover of sites like Dholavira , Lothal , Kalibangan etc in Gujarat, Rakhigarhi in Haryana ( excavated since the early 1960's & considered as the largest of all IVC sites - at 3.5 sq kms incl Mohenjo Daro & Harappa) , the Hakra Ghaggar river basin also referred to in some quarters , albeit controversially , as the Sarawati River civilization, etc .

Incidentally , the discovery of a pre Harappan site in Bhirrana - Haryana circa 7500 BCE - 6200 BCE , excavated recently precedes the Mehrgarh civilization by 500 years at least.

A proverbial Ship of Theseus - wouldnt you agree , the Pakistan of today .based on the evidence presented above .

As far as the charge of stealing your claims is concerned , as Pakistanis continues its schizophrenic journey from outright denial of its roots to denying the Indians a stake in our common heritage , the journey continues, with better articulations & expositions of half truths , something that would make the RSS camp of historians & epigraphists proud to include you in their company as fellow travellers.

Genetic studies have conclusively proved that ANI ( i.e - Ancestral North Indians ) have much more in common with the populace of Pakistan than they do with their own countrymen ASI ( Ancestral South Indians ).

Produced below is an excerpt from Wiki - Genetics & Archaoegenetics in South Asia .

The geneticist PP Majumder (2010) has recently argued that the findings of Reich et al. (2009) are in remarkable concordance with previous research using mtDNA and Y-DNA:[46]

Central Asian populations are supposed to have been major contributors to the Indian gene pool, particularly to the northern Indian gene pool, and the migrants had supposedly moved into India through what is now Afghanistan and Pakistan. Using mitochondrial DNA variation data collated from various studies, we have shown that populations of Central Asia and Pakistan show the lowest coefficient of genetic differentiation with the north Indian populations, a higher differentiation with the south Indian populations, and the highest with the northeast Indian populations. Northern Indian populations are genetically closer to Central Asians than populations of other geographical regions of India... . Consistent with the above findings, a recent study using over 500,000 biallelic autosomal markers has found a north to south gradient of genetic proximity of Indian populations to western Eurasians. This feature is likely related to the proportions of ancestry derived from the western Eurasian gene pool, which, as this study has shown, is greater in populations inhabiting northern India than those inhabiting southern India.

They didn't call it by any indigenous name (actually there was hardly any) nor did they care who lives there and what happens there.

I think the problem would have been solved had your nation's founding Fathers referred to your nation as India , given the fact that the river from which we derive its name flows through it.But if they named their new born creation India , why would there be a need to create a different nation & invent a new identity.Food for thought .

I have already countered most of these claims in my posts above.

Apart from the Katasraj , there are other ancient Hindu temple ruins in Pakistan .All you have to do is wikipedia the info.Right from the Prahladpuri temple to the Sun temple in Multan destroyed by Mahmud Of Ghazni & surprise surprise - the still functioning Mata Hinglaj temple in Baluchistan - a Shaktipeeth whose origins are lost in antiquity.
As far as the floating of corpses go, the areas compriding present day Pakistan has had a Muslim majority for well over 700 - 800 years if not earlier. This practise however despicable is often mostly observed only in the Ganges river basin for the superstition that immersion in the Ganges ensures attainment in heaven I'm the afterlife. The More likely fact may be the underlying poverty & the inability to afford cremation of the corpse.
Please do come up with better evidence & more importantly better ideations to construct your arguments upon before you post .

Who in Pakistan ever tries to be equal-equal to that shithole of yours? Economy/Wealth is not everything Mr. Budhu Lal, Pakistan is a heaven compared to india. You guys need at least 100 more re-births in a civilized place to understand our perspective on life, and that is just to understand not come up to that level.

 This entire article is about a guy who got angry at Pakistan being called a failed state by someone he met in India, and then tries hard to do the usual Ind-Pak equal-equal that Pakis love to do.

Complete lack of history knowledge. I hope you know that IVC was abandoned due to various reasons which are yet unknown and those same people had to migrate. We are talking about 10,000 years old history :). And what about the Islamic invasions and migrations which you take pride in? Indo-Aryan people (untill proved IVC was Dravadian or not) can claim over IVC. History should be seen as history. Pakistan was created for muslims of India.

Although you people can take pride of having those sites in your land, but civilization is an entirely different thing.

India is a artificial country with its existence based on anti Pakistan agenda.

If we stretch it further the name india is derived from indus river and indus valley civilization of Pakistan and the hindu name is derived from Sindhu(Province and People of Pakistan)

So India is nothing but a failed identity based upon Pakistan.

Indians are the biggest victim of identity crisis because they are after the indus valley civilization which they don't have any relations with except for 3% of ther Population and they disown the indigenous culture they have because somehow they have themself built the notion that Indus valley civilization is superior to the Past history they had.
