Why do most people on Pakistani news channels call India as "Hindustan"?

The standard word in Pakistani society for india is "india", 99% people on street call "india" as "india" and not as "hindustan". But I have noticed a strange trend among the TV anchors and analysts on Pakistani news channels calling india almost always as hindustan, it just sounds strange to me that 99% people on the street use the word india but majority of the news media anchors use the word hindustan for the country of india. I find it really disgusting because I always feel they try to honor india by calling it as hindustan, they need to stop this rubbish behavior and adopt the word "india" as a default word to refer to the county of india as is the case with common people in Pakistani society.

1. Bharat, भारत, This is a name which given by people of this country itself. As a result, It should be the proper name. This name also has been recognized by our constitution.
2. India. This name given by western country to us like they do with every country ,thing and place. Western world rename everything for their convenience. They named River Sindhu, सिंधु, as Indus and region called India.
3. Aryavart, आर्यवर्त, this name emerged in ancient time , probably in rig vedic period. Those region inhabited by aryan called aryavart. It include present Pakistan ,Afghanistan, northern and central India and part of Tibbet and Nepal.
4. Hindustan. हिंदुस्तान .This name has been awarded by Arabs . Interestingly, the religion Hinduism also termed by Arabs. The area inhabited by Hindu called Hindustan.
5. Bharatvarsh. भारतवर्ष . This name again has indigenous origin. Many poet and learned person used the word Bharatvarsh. It's meaning match the word like eternal Bharat.

India is a region (which includes today's Pakistan, Bangladesh and Republic of India) not a country.. Modern Republic of India (post 1947) is a new country juts like Pakistan.. so Hindustan is better suited to clarify this... even Jinnah used to call this new country of republic of India as Hindustan not India

Hindustan was the name given by the Persians- Jinnah called India as Hindustan-you are correct, thats his choice- GOI- Government of India- Thats the key.Hindustan. हिंदुस्तान .This name has been awarded by Arabs . Interestingly, the religion Hinduism also termed by Arabs. The area inhabited by Hindu called Hindustan.(Unfortunately for you India has Muslims/Chritians etc etc- as well)

Absolutely wrong statement, Pakistani areas always had their own strong local identities. Our ancestors never called themselves as indians or our local areas as "india" or any crap like that. These are all names given by bloody foreigners not by our own ancestors.
