Back on topic- no it is wrong, we do not have any complexion against anyone. We don't trust India for it's backstabbing policy, don't like Myanmar for their aggressive policies against Bangladesh. That's it from a Bangladeshi.

Only in PDF. In reality except for Pakistan, we have excellent relations with almost every country in our neighbourhood (somewhat okay with China) including acting as the guarnteer of sovereignty for both Bhutan & Maldives.. As for Nepal, they can even travel to India without any visa.

That's over-generalization. You will meet one kind or the other and most would remain quiet in front of people with the nationality they don't like. You are getting this impression because you heard of both opinions and you are trying to reach to one conclusion about all Bangladeshi people. Also, you must not think BD members of pdf represents all Bangladeshis. On PDF you will mostly find Bangladeshis with a favorable/neutral opinion of Pakistan.

1) Arunachal:- No insurgency.
2) Meghalaya:- No insurgency
3) Tripura:- Insurgency dead.
4) Assam:- insurgency dead and ULFA surrendered.
5) Mizoram:- Mizo Peace accord signed in 1986, rebel leader Laldenga became Chief Minister in 1986
6) Nagaland:- Ceasefire since last 15-16 years and peace-accord very soon.
7) Manipur:- violence reduced by some 80% in last 5 years and Manipur will reach ultimate peace soon.

Plus All North-Eastern States Capital will be connected by Broad Gauge Railways by 2016-2017
and all states capital will be connected to East-West Highway(Silchar to Porbandar) with expressway quality highways. And increasing trade with South East Asian countries. There is massive economic opportunities being created in North-East India. And jealous people keep on dreaming.

but im talking about bilateral relations and the fact that every country that borders yours has issues with india --- Pakistan anc China it's a no-brainer why relations are (albeit not necessarily BAD at the moment) NOT GOOD (trade is existing though)

Maldives -- well i've been hearing about the insurrections there

Nepal -- whereas in the past it was the people who had no qualms about india while it was only the king (Gayanndra) whereas now it seems Govt. Nepal is similar to Bangladesh

govt. is friendly with india but people dont like india - or feel some contempt

That's not true mate, South India is more developed than North India, we don't have such issues in India.

it's just that the past makes things a bit bitter at times .

well it's the same in Pakistan...there are people (especially older generation) bitter at the fact that Bengalis opted to divide themselves from Pakistan (and worse of all, indians supported terrorist organizations which targeted non-Bengalis) so for us also past makes things a bit bitter at times

i'm fairly confident when i say this:

on issue of Bangladesh (former E.Pak) 99.9999% Pakistanis have moved on; accept Bangladesh and even hope for more cooperation in civilian and military sector.



i'm a firm believer in regional cooperation......all these South Asian countries need to find a way to settle all outstanding issues so that we can move on and prosper. Future lies by looking East, not WEST.
