Yeah you're right we can't afford 110 million fighter Rafale but we can afford 150 million FGFA Thats How poor we are
In that case, even Pakistan would've gone with the sort of deal India wants.
F35 is a failed project. Plus US will never share the technology the way India wants.
When Defence Minister has on national television stated that price of deal is not even near 100000 crore how can anyone be stupid enough to believe that cost has risen to $20 billion ( 125000 crore )
Don't believe this article.
Its paid sniping by Russians.
you'd still prefer rafale over sukhoi?
then invest on tejas,IAF's preferred configuration. hi - medium - lo.
SU fits the hi configuration
LCA,mirages, jags, migs fir the lo configuration.
MMRCA metamorphosed from being a replacement for mig21/27 to a medium configuration requirement.

Sukhoi 30mki only advantage over Rafale is thrust vectoring and range.
Also its not about comparing the 2 but we need combat aircrafts immediately for IAF as force levels as dropping to historical lows
then invest on tejas,
coolThat's what's happening.
bro there are a few facts that cant be ignoared those most important to MOD right now are price , maintainence , TOT and comminality of wepon systemsSukhoi 30mki only advantage over Rafale is thrust vectoring and range.

You are compring the total aquisition cost of Rafale to the flyaway cost of F-35.Dude, the price for each piece works out to 158 million..40 million more than a 5th gen F35.
India clearly can't afford to purchase expensive Rafales, stop asking for low-prices.
