Who is this Lunatic?

I did, entertaining to say the least!. But I liked reading his work on Islamic Philosophy and some of his video analysis of impact factors re: Taliban nexus were very insightful. He clearly has some hands on experience with these people!

True, however with the credentials he has, its hard to distinguish truth from friction.
I would suggest you to read the tendency to give religious connotations to achieve various objectives by extremists. Infact US-Soviet war was advertised as a religious one and that churn out lot many fighters in Pakistan ready to die in Afghanistan. They literally created holy warrior making factories in name of education, and Pakistan still trying to find way out of it even now. There were/are many figures to chose from for academic purposes.

What he ignores is that "gazwa e Hind has already been accomplished. Al Hind at the time referred to what is the Indus Valley region. That region has already fallen in the fold of Islam.

It is rather analogous to a statement made "conquest of Asia" in antiquity and some nutter today takes that to mean conquest of China/Japan etc. In antiquity 'Asia' only meant the eastern shores on the Aegean or Anatolia. Over time the meaning of Asia has drifted to mean a entire continent although in US it is often taken to mean China/Japan/Indo-China.

Equally rubbish.

I have been given a years subscription for Pakistan Insitute of Peace Studies, some very, very good analysis and context regarding terrorism and security studies in Pakistan. I like to look at everything holistically, ZZH is just another narrative that is worth studying, even if I do find him unpalatable.

Thank you, I am going to google some more about him. I have lately been writing about socio-economic factors and the causal link between terrorism in Pakistan for my course, hence watching a LOT of youtube content on Pakistan and Pakistani politics.

Can you recommend any good analysts or books/journals to read please?

There’s no ‘casual’ link to terrorism in Pakistan. This guy is the English version of Britain first white supremacist, no one takes him seriously.

I beg to differ, Alan B. Krueger stated in his paper how Education, Poverty and political violence has a close link with terrorism. You can read the paper here if you so wish:

I do think he has a following, he has a verified twitter account with 170k twitter followers and most of his youtube videos have over 20k to 30k hits each. People like Tommy Robinson, Paul Golding and Zahid Hamid are worthy studies because they are what we call "influencers" who influence public opinion and drive thought and discussions.

We have already seen the toxic outcome of EDL/BF rhetoric in the U.K, people like this ultra nationalists often exploit the fears, insecurities and vulnerabilities of the angry masses to further their political goals. I would beg to argue that he is a worthy case study for anyone interested in learning about the drivers of extremism in Pakistan.

He is the founder, creator and proprietor of all modern warfare tactics and military strategies as far as I know. His tin foil hat is said to gleam through the smoke and dust of the battlefields and across borders for miles and miles, even though it sits under his famous Laal Topi- protected and sheathed. I salute you Sir Shri Hamid Saab!
Add this to what @Reichsmarschall and you have a brief description of this battle hardened warrior.

he is bff with Dr Shahid Masood!

Maybe we should fight the extremism that causes Jo Cox’s murder first.

@Wolfhunter Good Luck with your Studies friend , :enjoy:

So I was watching videos on Pakistan Security Analysis and came across a man called Zahid Hamid on youtube, watched his videos some insight but most of saber rattling and conspiracy theories. Then I saw this video:

Please look at the video carefully at 05:47 he says "with this kind of fire power, you don't have to aim".....

He is a hazard to himself and others. He has other videos of him in Military Fatigues and with a fully automatic rifle. Is he ex army?
These days I have serious disagreements with him due to the fact he is spreading lot of sectarian crap these days. But this lunatic is no joke he has spent 6 years in Afghan Jihad and when he says you don't aim he means when faced by Indians show no mercy go ballistic

He isn't ex-army... He fought in Afghanistan against the Soviets as a mercenary.

He is just a political analyst in shows.

He fancies himself a military expert and full is bravado but little bite... He usually causes Indians heartburn which makes him amusing.

He's right, 12 gauge rounds don't require accurate aiming.
