Who is this Lunatic?

So I suppose Visiting Fellow of the RUSI Kamal Alam's paper is garbage then?

3. Even brother China is stating that there is credible threat from extremism in Pakistan:

Kamal Alam who?? Sorry don't know him.

Posting random articles from unknown sources hardly matter. Bottom line is, Pakistan and China enjoy strong strategic relations. East Turkmenistan movement and its threat is now coming from America/Nato occupied Afghanistan, and there are reasons for that which I don't want to go into. Just like ISIS popped up in Afghansitan on one fine day.

Even if I am not a Pakistani national, does that not allow me to comment on Pakistani affairs? You do know how childish that makes you sound right?

Hold on, its you who were losing the marbles when I replied. I reserve the right to reply to know relating to matter concerning Pakistan. Whoes acting childish?

I read 4 Pakistani news papers daily, I monitor Pakistani journalists and influencers on Twitter and speak to Pakistanis from all walks of life, I think I have a good handle on what is going on in Pakistan.

Yet you are clueless. English newspaper are the worst medium to understand whats going on in the minds of people on the streets in Pakistan.

Oh, so now you are a professor too? Thankfully the University I attend which is the 92nd best in the WORLD thinks otherwise. :)

Don't care, still useless as far as I am concerned. As I said, look for active cases of extremism and fanatism where it is already shaping nation states, i.e if you are genuinely concerned about liberalism under threat. Pakistan is not the place. I have already given you the direction, India, Israel and America are active cases of study.

You do know that Religious and Political extremists are side of the same coin, right? Have you read the works of Marx?

I am referring to religious fanatics. That's why I keep on referring to India, Israel and America, the three states which are currently ruled by religious nutcases. The are case you want to study where liberalism has been sidelined by far right. In Pakistan, there is no history of right wing politics or extremist influcing the state let alone rule it! You can count on fingers the seats religious parties get each election.

Pakistan is actually strategically placed to be the centre of many things in Asia/CE and ME, look beyond your tunnel vision please.

What you very conveniently left out the main point I raised while quoting me, I will repeat again. Perhaps you did not understand.

Liberalism in Pakistan is not what you understand according to your own narrative. These lot have proven to be number one boot lickers of west in Pakistan , selling foreign narratives through NGOs and media houses, directly funded by foreign entities. While true liberals are there, the rest have really distorted the image of liberalism so much so that it is hard to distinguish between jet black traitors and liberals. YET, liberalism wont die in Pakistan because the despicable people who call themselves liberals in Pakistan, it will be sidelined due to the global geopolitics. Just like Churchill was need as war PM in UK during world war, against Hitler, the nations states which are lining against Pakistan and becoming increasingly hostile, they are all ruled by religious fanatics. There will be a time in future, and its fast approaching, that Pakistan will need it own right wing ultra nationalist hardliners in power to deal with the challenges that confront the state. Liberals, who have been in power all along, are simply not cutting the ice and cannot take Pakistan any further while facing the challenges headon. It wont be a matter of choice but necessity , if we have survive as a nation state.

How so, please elaborate!

Who are in your opinion, the RSS/BJP lot, the Zionists, the evangelists ?

So that Royal United services Institute is Random? Okay friend, you clearly are clueless, feel free to keep up the charade if it helps "float your boat". And if you don't know who Kamal Alam is, should you really be worried about people discussing terrorism contexts in Pakistan?

Ciao/Salam/sayonara...

zaid hamid is true Pakistani fcuk the rest better than sold out generals.
If you do a lot of reading and research, that exposes a lot of what going on and Hamid speak that. He speaks about topics other avoid. whenever he is interviewed the interviewer tries to re-direct his talk or cut him short. Media in pak is sold out prostitute.
Indian hate him because he talks and exposes them publicly unlike nawaz who will sell his daughter used pu ssy for a dollar.

. .
This speaks volumes of your upbringing. Also reported for your highly offensive post!
This is what you get out of religious addled and conspiracy theory eaten person. I don't like NS, much less his daughter but using such language for a women is wrong less so for a daughter of a ex PM of Pakistan. There should be some decorum observed even if you don't agree with their politics. We all have mothers, daughters, sisters etc

All you ever do is insult members if they have diff view point.

I agree with you. Look at my handle. That should make it clear I am utterly opposed to NS. But must we use such language on his daughter? As a good human being never mind a Muslim should you be using such language for a female?

And St. Andrews is a great university. All the best. @Wolfhunter

Why have respect for these people? They couldn't care less bout you or me. Dont you forget these are the people who will send goons to attack your women if they have to and they wont lose sleep over it. people like this should be cursed and crushed. nawaz sharif daughter doesn't represent respectable women. Nawaz will sell her to the kingdom of saudi arabia if he can get another rule over pak.

By time they finished with pak, whole nation will be cursing and using derogatory language anyway.

I honestly agree with eveything you said. Yes they have sold Pakistan. But trust me our reaction and how we treat them is reflection on us. We should strive to keep the high ground and not do anything that diminshes us. Or else what separates us from them? Think about that please.

Did you see how Libyans or Iraqi's treated their ex-leaders (Qaddafi/Saddam) and how that was a reflection on those nations.

Hahah, thanks for the warning. I am going to read more about him to better understand the kind of influencers that exist in Pakistan. So far I have gathered that there are three major schools of thought, two of which are in a constant state of flux with the third being possibly the only stable party often acting as a pivot. I speak of course of the Islamic Hardliners, the Military and the Liberal crowd.

Interestingly my reading so far has concluded than many of the hawks and nationalist types have very strong links with hard line Islamic movements, although there is little or no correlation between those who support nationalist movements to necessarily have links with any extremist outfit like the LEJ or TTP.

What is worrying is that lack or diminishing segment of the vocal liberal in Pakistani society, my interaction with Pakistani Diaspora here in the U.K has been a mixture of intellectual, professional and those highly critical of the military.

I would like to speak to those from each end of the spectrum so I can better understand what is the primary driver for societal conflict in Pakistan (discounting politics and economic issues).

Did you yet come across his plan of gazwa e hind?

Did you yet come across his plan of gazwa e hind?

I did, entertaining to say the least!. But I liked reading his work on Islamic Philosophy and some of his video analysis of impact factors re: Taliban nexus were very insightful. He clearly has some hands on experience with these people!

.
Excuse me, this is a forum for discussions and sharing ideas and learning. Are you a moderator?, clearly not please don't dictate to me what I can and cannot comment on. Also Pakistan is part of the world, anything that happens in Pakistan impacts the rest of the world!

I am making these inquires because I am engaged in a postgraduate study and part of my course is Sociological and Economic factors impacting extremist thinking. Now please if you will, allow me to share ideas with those who are more open minded to conversations!

Cheers!

Please engage him rather as you wanted to study extremist. No?

.
Did you yet come across his plan of gazwa e hind?
What he ignores is that "gazwa e Hind has already been accomplished. Al Hind at the time referred to what is the Indus Valley region. That region has already fallen in the fold of Islam.

It is rather analogous to a statement made "conquest of Asia" in antiquity and some nutter today takes that to mean conquest of China/Japan etc. In antiquity 'Asia' only meant the eastern shores on the Aegean or Anatolia. Over time the meaning of Asia has drifted to mean a entire continent although in US it is often taken to mean China/Japan/Indo-China.
