What's new

who invented sardar and pathan jokes?

Jealousy. Darkies are envious of lighter skinned people.
most south indians have not seen a sikh .. dont know much about them unless they had the misfortune of watching one of the sunny deol's movies, which most did not.

By a community which tasted the rule of both pathans and sikhs. They were meek and couldnt dare to challenge pathans and sikhs face to face so they come up with pathan and sardan jokes. Through these jokes they tried to eliminate the fearsome reputation of these two people by making them clowns.

Cleverly done. Some of the people who thanked you don't know who you're taking shots at :)

Well if I say pathans and sardars themselves wouldn't that be an oxymoron?

You will find humour if read good ones. You will really enjoy and roll on the floor laughing.

Question: What's the difference between Sardar and a donkey?

Answer: A donkey has a tail.

Jokes should make people laugh but not at the expense of humiliating others. We should realise that there is a thin line between a friendly banter and a racial slur. Pathans and sardars are mostly straight forward people and its wrong to make fun of their innocence but these jokes are all stupid and they can be replaced by name of any ethnic group and still would not make any difference. There are jokes about Husband/wife, Gf/BF, Pundits. molviz, bramhins, Baniya, shiekhs, memon, Blonde, Jewish etc so jokes/bias/stereotypes are actually connected with every ethnicity

I beg to differ. There are all kinds of people in same proportion in all communities. And this is NOT a cliche. We have real life experience. We had one sardar in our college. He would be absorbed in false flattery of people 24 hours a day. He would spare nobody. The moment he saw a human being, he would start flattery with malicious intention. Be it classmates, be it juniors, be it seniors, be it college lecturers, be it watchman, be it peon, be it shopkeeper, be it landlord, be it restaurant waiter, be it taxi driver, be it bus conductor, be it electrician, be it plumber, be it beggar, be it temple priest, be it cabel TV service provider, be it mobile phone service provider.... He would butter anyone and everyone who came in his sight.

In the person's presence, this sardar would be extremely friendly. In that person's absence, this sardar would act like his worst enemy.

We, his batchmates would be very wary of him. In our gossips (in his absence), we would unhesitatingly refer to him as MoFu(Ker. Even one Punjabi guy, who took pride in his ethnicity, had the same opinion.

Apna barwaqt ilaaj kara lo.....
