When will Pakistan Step up its game on Syrian Aid?

The minimum requirement for doing good is verbally being on the right side

That's not how Muslims work we help where Muslims need help even if we have less we give our help. Pakistan has always Operated with certain , high standards for humanitarian assistance and Leadership , it is time we started to help people in Syria by formal means

And it is really up to Government / Military to take necessary steps to showcase the important role for Humanitarian effort Pakistan has always displayed for last 70-80 years
Stop this Muslim Muslim nonsense.

Pakistan needs to take care of Pakistanis first. This isn't rocket science.

SAUDI Arabia is building a £350billion mega 33 times bigger than New York as it seeks to ditch its reliance on oil.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the city, referred to as Neom, will be 100% run on renewable energy.
He announced plans for 10,230-square-mile mega city at an international investment conference in Riyadh last October.
The palaces of the king, crown prince and other royals are among the first contracts awarded for NEOM, sources close to the project said.
They will be located on the Red Sea coast and feature "opulent buildings with modern and traditional Moroccan-style architecture", according to a design document.
It also revealed that the complex of palaces will include helipads, a marina and even a luxury golf course.

Very luxury indeed always seem to have money for projects of course if your Pakistanis you're digging and lifting then sent back when not needed without pittance pay.

How about using our brains and investing in our own people first so that we will be able to provide more and better aid in the future? Individually, it's fine if Pakistanis donate to causes of refugees in foreign countries such as Syrians and Rohingya but don't bring this very real Ummah into politics.

Another one of those projects which is just to sqaunder monies and yet does nothing to uplift the life of every day person. it will go to the connect people who will milk it off - that is corruption at the highest.

IIRC a Syrian journalist (not one of those expat sell-outs from Jordan, Gulf etc, but an Armenian-Syrian guy from Aleppo) mentioned Pakistan as one of the states who didn't adhere to the detestable US/EU sanctions on Syria and sent basic aid supplies to assist them. Pakistan also refused to side with the Al Qaeda 'moderates' and has taken, overall, a sane stance on the situation.

To help someone the first step is to understand the ground realities.

In syria, the conflict is not about muslim/not muslim as many foreigns powers are involved in the killings with syrians themselves.

Feeding few hundreds people wont resolve the real disease.

As i always say about charities organisations : give a fish to a poor, he will eat one time, teach him how to fish, he will eat all life.

Of course i'm not advocating to stop helping people, but change our way of helping.

I may be wrong of cours in my analyse.

:coffee::nono::nono::nono:

Pakistan since 1947 have always done what we can to help the people who have suffered from or other crisis sure we may not have billions but we have always showed up to help

While some on the board may have a opinion of dormant behavior , i.e sit from far and put our hands on knees and turn the head on opposite site

It is a difference in opinion

It does reflect the responsibilities we have as a global Muslim country

Sure there is poverty in Pakistan but it is something we can control with a harvest or provincial budget. The government can gives subsidy or people pinch in

But the massacre in Syria is huge we can't look away from it

Simple resolution

a) 40,000 Troops , and 20-30 Vehicles for Security and Humanitarian mission and People of Pakistan get chance to donate to Syria so the nation can fix it's most urgent crisis hit areas

b) It is responsibility for Government of Pakistan and Military to help develop consensus for help for Syrians on Humanitarian ground

If someone does not wishes to help the can opt to not help

  • Pakistan has always had a positive hand to help other nations in need and that spirit must not go away

  • Palestine Occupation issues ~ 50's to present
  • Afghan refugee crisis ~ 70's
  • Bosnian war refugees ~ 90's
  • When China had floods I think we sent in help and food supplies
  • Pakistan also has provided various security person for on going conflict in Africa
War vs Humanitarian Mission are two different missions

Pakistan foreign policy has to reflect what people of Pakistan want , and not based on Saudia or any other country if they do not wish to help it is their own choice we all have choices to make when it comes to helping people in need or not

It's up to Military heads or Parliament of Pakistan has to decide

I am afraid not having a plan looks terrible on Humanitarian Grounds and also is extremely negative from public perception that not enough is being done to help people in Syria

We have never had a formal debate involving people of Pakistan what we want to be done in Syria. We need a referendum or Motion to collect opinion about should Pakistan help people of Syria in this dire moment

Militants from Pakistan does go to Syria to fight with children of Syria, survivors are the refugees in Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia.

They don't need our help. Sending them jets in case of a full-on war with Israel would be cool but besides that Syria's had the situation under good control since mid 2015.

Lets start with 40,000 Troops and food goods and construction material how about simple help
