What's new

Whatever

@jamahir Did you pray Jumah Today ?

Sorry no. :)

And I had thought of doing roza because I wanted to be in solidarity with other Muslims but me and my mother decided that since I have to be awake at 7:30 AM to hand over the daily garbage to the collectors and do other daily chores ( my brothers doing WFH ) it is not practical for me to do roza.

Aww. Where is this from ?

If there is a God may He bless these people. Love for cats I think defines Muslims from those of other religions.

Some months ago I watched a vid from Turkey I think which had a mosque imam allowing a mother cat to bring her babies and placing them on a staircase inside the mosque.

streets cats and pigeons are well taken care of in Turkey. Still, not sure about the dogs :D..
I feed 3-4 dogs on my street every day. There are thousands of people like me. In fact, there are volunteers and associations distributing tons of food every day for this job. In addition, there are several dog shelters and animal shelters in each district. Municipal teams take animals in need of rehabilitation to these centers. In short, there is no problem in favor of dogs. On the contrary, as they tend to act in a clan in some uninhabited areas, street dogs population growth brings a lot of controversy. Cats are privileged animals, I admit. However, dogs also have a special place in Turkish culture.

I was very surprised to see how big and well fed stray dogs in Istanbul were.

In local, a lot of controversy about uncontrolled dog population growth. And dog attacks have increased dramatically in recent years. For this, the municipalities provide services or allocate funds for neutering procedures as well as dog vaccinations. Some dangerous dog breeds are gathered to shelters and thus the street dog nature is tried to be rehabilitated.

Unfortunately, dogs left on the streets have to create their own habitats after a certain period of time. Some people buying puppies, but after a certain period of time, they leave the animal to streets, forests etc by showing a great example of irresponsibility. Actually, this is the most important problem. If the responsibility of adopting an animal cannot be taken for its life, an animal should never be owned.

All these street dog issues creating a number of problems, especially in rural or suburban areas. There is a very serious group of volunteers and many animal shelters throughout Istanbul, but even with this we cannot say it works perfectly in meeting the total need. Their situation is better than many other countries in the world, but I believe we can do more as an animal lover.

Oh my god! Tomorrow there is Iftar in my house, there will be about hundred friends, I need samosas and pakoras, how much money should I pay? I asked,
Baba Ji looked at me and smiled with the questions.
′′ How much money can you give ′′
I felt like Baba Ji insulted me.
Even after knowing me for a long time, this question was unhappy and ridiculous.
I took more money than the original price and put it in front of Baba Ji.
Baba Ji raised money and said while giving it to me,
Give it to this old woman on the other side of the road, come tomorrow and take your samosas pakoras,
You have solved my problems, the time of Iftar was near and I didn't have that much money to collect, now the poor will be free from the worry of Sehri and Iftar for a few days.
Cool wave ran into my body.
Who is that to you??
I got an unnecessary question from my mouth. Baba Ji got tired.
She is my mother, daughter and sister. What do you know about money, what are relationships, those who don't know about humanity, how will they have the illusion of relationships, standing for the last three hours, neither asking nor anyone. Is giving away.
You people think that being hungry is fasting and you think that you have earned a reward by making your stomach full of relationships as iftar.
′′ If you don't wake up even after fasting, it's not fasting, it's only hunger ′′
I was going through heavy steps towards this old woman and thinking, I was weighing my faith, it was not my money, it was of Baba Ji, my money was making relationships better.
Baba Ji's money was going to get the pleasure of Allah.
I was wondering why I didn't see mother, sister and daughter in this old woman?
I wish I could also see with Baba Ji's eyes, I wish all the people were the owner of the same eye.
I wish, with so many wishes were chasing me.
