What's new

Whatever

Depends how you look at it...

I once called out an Egyptian for having that eye thingy in his restaurant. He said it's to protect from the evil eye......I was like really? But I never said that to his face...

He must have realized something was wrong since the next time I paid him a visit, it wasn't in plain sight. And there's the hand of Fatima too....based on the Mesopotamian goddesses Ishtar. Which I think predates Egyptian use of the eye of Horus.

And we all know about Dajjal. Freemason concept on the back of the $1:

Eye of "Providence" they say......thankfully, Allah has proclaimed that he's not one eyed so that fools wouldn't start believing in such stuf
There are Sufi souvenirs in shape of an eye which promise to ward off evil eye. I guess an eye for an eye of the mosaic code.
He's a good dude. I like him. Don't bully my homie now
Don't ever come in between El Sidd and his prey.
Egyptians
Thats like saying Book of the Dead or Journey of the Dead in the afterlife as mentioned by egyptians is more or less the same as with Abrahamic religions. They even have a pull i siraat in "ancient" egyptian "mythology".

I don't think the marketing department should be believed as to their origin...

I got scared for a sec.....then I remembered you have a one eyed dude destined to be slain as your pic. Now I'm feeling ok.

Best utility is one gifted by the enemy when he runs away. :D

Well.....we know what type of folks plagiarize....they have done so throughout history, adding bits and pieces to make themselves appear unique.

I have extensively studied pagan religions, as if I was a pagan myself, and the only conclusion I came to was that they're all the same with different names.....worshipping jinns who made fool of fools thinking they could access a higher power than Allah SWT.

Similar gods.....ranging from 1-20....hinduism peaks at 400,000 lol or so it's told. Similar sacrifices, similar unfit cultures who got demolished time and again. Only one left that's going to be extinct soon is Hinduism. And it's already been extinct since India came into being...

It's revival and downfall will be epic. One where there won't exist a single hindu on India...but alas, paganism might come back in the rest of the world and already has on the land of the arabs...

Your hypothesis might vary but at least your neurons are well oiled.

Also, their myths survived because they were written on stone.....Islamic stories pre-Muhammad SAW were rarely written on walls inside of a pyramid.

The Temple of Solomon got destroyed multiple times because the Jews didn't believe in their prophets or Allah SWT......each time bleeding the future gens of history.

A lot of Islamic stories pre-Muhammad SAW come from Jews and Christians, highly verified though and we had our own Nabi and Rasool to reveal the truth through Jibrael A.S. since he saw it all.

Your association of Paganism with Hinduism is something i would disagree with.

Hinduism is Paganism...

Now don't tell me that Hindus believe in one god...:azn:

You also read those vague texts from a long forgotten Hindu book which no one from the majority follows??

That's probably the time when the Hindus weren't polytheists...or a revival came to them...

The term Hindu refers to people hailing from a geographical notation.

It's association with religion is relatively new and only a political reaction to other more established religions formed outside the said notation.

Hinduism is Paganism...

Paganism is the term Jews and early Christians used for referring to Hellenic, Roman, Egyptian, Zoroastrian and even the preislamic arab religion and would later also include Norse religion. However It never had any association with Hinduism or for that matter other Indian religions like buddhis, Sikhism and Jainism. Two of which also predate Christianity (Buddhism and Jainism).

Well there's not much difference between any polytheist religion other than the geographical location...

I have looked at all. Talked to all folks, even atheist Nordics who claim to be descendants of Thor.

Well, what was the religion of the people of India if not Hinduism?

Should I start typing polytheism instead?

India has always been mature with theology given the sheer numbers alone. Most of the religions practiced in India were of polytheistic nature as documented by Persians, Greeks and Classical Arabs.

You don't call an Egyptian worshiping Ra or Amun(Ram/Ra Amun) as Hindus.

What we see classified as the Hindu religion is a political reaction or sociopolitical reflex to counter Islam, a recent phenomenon in India.

I'll reiterate. They're all the same. They're all polytheists. The message is a copy paste across the world with uniqueness just in name.

Don't tell me you're a polytheist?

For you as an outsider it may come across as the same message, and for them it may come across that all monotheistic religions have the same message. But what is the message if they are dissimilar then?

You are asking someone with ONE eye picture if he worships more than ONE deity. Slow day today?

There are only 2 messages in this world. Whatever uniqueness may exist.

And you know that, if not then...
Slow day today?

I take my time with special cases. :enjoy:
