@Itachi bhai, t-numbers (and his indian bffs) are the reason why Turks left this forum.

The best way to combat negativity of anti-Turk posters is to show our love and admiration for Turks.

Let us keep that thread for positivity.

Please share videos, music, excerpts, and history to admire Turks and Turkey in that thread.

@peagle we must stay focused brothers.

They will try to derail the thread as they see it as a threat. Report and ignore them in the thread.

Jazak Allahu khair

What is t-numbers and bffs?
Sorry I am unaware.

You mean to say they were bullied out of here?

Afrikan like Maasai tribe is among the tallest group in the world after Dutch people. But even the Dutch before 1900 is not that tall like today , they even among the shortest population in Europe. And this all happened because of diet people consumed for every day.
Maybe they consume a lot of fish in their diet, just look at Japanese how they can improve the height of their people by eating a lot of protein (particularly fish) just by several decades. On the other hand people in Indonesia eat many rice and little protein to fill their stomag.

Oya, have you watched Joker (movie) ??? Just finish watching it this night. Any comment on it ??, I think it is a good movie although there is part on it that I really dont like
But still the intra-difference between one linguistic family is astounding - according to the Imperial College of London study Tonga is the tallest non-European nation ranking at a global ranking of 40 (link) and was the 7th tallest IN THE WORLD in 1896, other Polynesian nations rank similarly, maybe they lagged behind Europe because of nutrition?

On Jocker movie, I have not watched it, the trailer showed the protagonist to be a very edgy character. I will tell you my opinion if I watch it later.

I don't think there's any question that Islam and Communism aren't compatible.

The question that I have for you and also for @Dalit

actually, two questions

why is there anti-US sentiment amongst Pakistanis? if there is, in fact, such sentiment.

the other question is- is it true that Pakistan is moving away from the US?

as I understand it, Pakistan was aligned with China in the past but China was not as strong as it is now so Pakistan still worked with the US....... but now that China is getting stronger, Pakistan is going to break away from prior US influence?

why would Pakistan want to move away from the US? was the US using aid as a way to try to control Pakistan?

Brother, first let me quickly sketch some historical background. The US Pak relationship is very transactional in nature. It is a reluctant relationship that is borne out of pure necessity. Our interests collide in every possible way. The US being in an advantageous position has always used a stick and carrot approach against Pakistan. Even during the Cold War the US had no choice, but to partner with Pakistan due to geography. Of course Pakistan took full advantage and made sure it received state of the art F-16s. Often Americans make reference to billions of dollars, but essentially this was bribe and mostly money reimbursed for various expenses. There is also no denying that often corrupt politicians in Pakistan exploited this dubious relationship for monetary and political reasons. The US also claims it has paid billions in aid, but as records show this money rarely reached the intended recipients. If I had to describe it in nutshell, the US would like to have an obedient Pakistan that follows their instructions. Frankly, it wants Pakistan to become an Indian colony. Denuclearization, zero relations with Iran and China, no mention of Kashmir etc. All unreasonable and known demands by the US.

why is there anti-US sentiment amongst Pakistanis? if there is, in fact, such sentiment.

As explained, the relationship between the US and Pakistan has been unstable on and off. Among all the treachery and duplicity came the final blow during the US war in Afghanistan. We know for a fact that the US has committed war crimes during this war by carrying out illegal drone strikes with the tacit approval of Pakistani leaders. This is where the people of Pakistan really understood the true ugly nature of our relationship with the US. Apart from all the exploitation and ugliness the Pakistanis have paid a price in human lives. You can understand why anti-Americanism is skyrocketing in Pakistan.

the other question is- is it true that Pakistan is moving away from the US?

It is true that Pakistan doesn't solely rely on one specific bloc or country anymore. This was a a wrong policy to put all our eggs in one specific basket. I cannot say what the future holds, but Pakistan is definitely diversifying its options. As the world is more divided in two seperate camps, Pakistan is going to try to balance between both, but our allegiance lies with Chinese friends. Despite warmongering and accusations, the US cannot disband its relations with Pakistan. It needs Pakistan for various important reasons.

why would Pakistan want to move away from the US? was the US using aid as a way to try to control Pakistan?

In Pakistan too it was initially very challenging to diversify. Pakistan has been stuck in a vicous circle for decades. Economically it relied on US and Western aid. It had become addicted to US handouts. Luckily, after the vicous WoT things became crystal clear for every side. Changes had to be made. Changes were made and today Pakistan is different. Luckily China has stepped forward and shown leadership. Without Chinese intervention things would be extremely bleak. China has a strong desire for prosperity and the urgency to unite the region. Pakistan plays an important role. CPEC is an important piece of this puzzle.

As you can guess, the US is vehemently opposed to CPEC. Not only does CPEC provide benefits to the entire region and China/Pakistan, but it also allows interconnectivity and improved relations among all regional hubs. Iran too has now become a member of this project. The US has every stake in disunity within the region in order to keep control. For the US it is all about divide and control. Control China as it's growing and expanding its influence. The US wants to have another Israel in our region and it has handpicked India for this specific role. India however cannot become another Israel, because our region is very different to the Middle East. The surrounding countries are powerful and cannot be intimidated into submission.

JazakAllahkhair.

I hope someone publishes a book in English that explains on a book-length level. I am amazed that the US has managed to alienate Pakistanis on the other side of the earth. It is really something that the US has managed to make people all over the world despise it to such a degree.

@Omar Al-Deek

"Jamahir- why is India against China and why is India aligning itself with Western imperialism?"

The main reason for those is because of the ideological difference of the ruling BJP Indian government ( religion-based - Hindutva, extremely capitalist ) and the Chinese government ( communist - if only in name ).

But there are three confusions :
1. It's not as if the previous Congress party governments since Independence in 1947 have been socialist / communist. Though the first PM Nehru was inspired by socialism he did two things contrary to that : (a). Made India to participate in the Korea War ( 1950-53 ) on side of the "United Nations" militaries led by USA, (b). Co-found the NAM ( Non-aligned Movement ) which signaled to the Eastern Bloc that though India wouldn't henceforth participate in Western military adventures India wouldn't also participate in any action of the Eastern Bloc ( Warsaw Pact ) and wouldn't close cultural, diplomatic, technological and economic ties with the Western Bloc.
2. Nehru's daughter Indira Gandhi, also of the Congress party, when she was PM reworded the Indian Constitution's preamble to become "sovereign, socialist secular democratic republic". However, not only was "secular" not implemented practically in the country, "socialist" was also not implemented through things like free housing, education, medical system, public transport etc and other things like shutting down of the Bombay Stock Exchange.
3. Another Congress party PM, Manmohan Singh, said in 2009 that the biggest internal threat to India is not the right-wing, Hindutva movement but the left-wing Naxalite / Maoist guerrillas. You can read that full statement here.

Other than these, the Indian establishment and military has always been pro-West or West-inspired. For example, the chain of government-funded, elite education institutes called IITs ( Indian Institutes of Technology ) are modeled on the American MIT. The Indian penal code has been continued from British-rule times, including the "Sedition" laws which were instituted by the British to jail Indian freedom fighters including left-wing revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh. The Indian intelligence agency RAW has had close ties with Mossad going decades back.

Though India and China fought a border war in 1962, in recent decades India and China had had economic ties with things like Chinese cell phone companies or firecracker companies selling in India, or Chinese civil engineering companies sending huge tunnel boring machines to India for various civil works. These economic exchanges happened despite India's BJP ruling government being ideologically different than of China but they have stopped now.

The current antagonism at the India-China border is continuing on the Indian side, the BJP government not speaking of dialogue, because the BJP doesn't want to step away from its hypernationalist position and alienate its middle class and upper class mainly Hindutva constituency. This is added with the Western governments' position of using as a regional bulwark against the expansionism of rival-to-West China. There is the anti-China military alliance called Quad consisting of India, USA, Japan and Australia.

Did I miss out any of your queries ?

Anti US sentiment started when US embargoed 40 LM F16s, it went downhill from that one decision.

classics

Here are some classic gems from The British civil service annual confidential reports of its officers over the years which have been
declassified (minus the name of the officer and his/her boss who wrote these - published by the Guardian news paper in U.K.

1. His men would follow him anywhere, but
only out of curiosity.

2. He is a very quiet officer.
He opens his mouth,
only to change whichever
foot
was previously in there.

3. He is technically sound,
but socially impossible.

4. Since my last report he has reached
rock bottom,
and
has now started to
dig.

5. He sets low personal standards
and then
consistently fails
to achieve
them.

6. The officer is tall
and that is all !

7. He has carried out each and every one
of his duties to his entire
satisfaction.

8. He has wisdom of the youth
and
energy of old age.

9. This officer should go far;
and
the sooner the better.

10. This man is depriving a village somewhere
of an idiot.

And the final :

A very pushy person -
even pushes the door marked
'Pull'
