There is actually Indian Indonesian lady who participate in our pageant beauty competition (Puteri Indonesia). Her last name is Sharma so look like he has some Indian link. Unfortunately she doesnt win in the competition.

She is a Sharma which is a Punjabi caste. I didn't know there were Punjabis in Indonesia or even in Southeast Asia.

Of course a model, the winner will participate in Miss Universe competition. That actress from India that you posted is also very pretty. Indian Indonesian are usually living in North Sumatra just like that beauty pageant participant with Punjabi name. We have Punjabi family who are working in our film industry as big producers.

We also have Pakistani Indonesian who won the third winner on Puteri Indonesia competition last year.

This year winner is from East Java participant with has 179 meter high. Ayu Maulida.
