What's new

Whatever

@Armstrong bro i saw in the thread about Afghan Refugees that Pakistanis and Afghans dont like eachother, i would like to hear what the problem is.

They were the only country in the world that refused to recognize Pakistan's inclusion in the UN, they tried to influence the Referendum of '48 which decided whether the North-West-Frontier-Province of British India would join Pakistan or India by wooing Pukhtoon Nationalists (NWFP choose Pakistan), they've claimed as much as 3/4th of Pakistan as their territory as part of their foOked up notion of a Loy or Greater Afghanistan, they refuse to recognize the International Border between Pakistan & Afghanistan, they've supported & housed every single Separatists Insurgency in Baluchistan from the one in '48 to the present one with 3-4 in between them over the years, they even invaded our territory at Bajaur in the '60s only to be beaten back by the Bajauri Tribals who then called in the Pakistan Army & then in the '90s when their so-called Mujahideen splintered into Warlords of every shape & size with many of them being used as proxies against Pakistan & we decided to act by supporting the Taliban - an Afghan Creation - we became the Bad Guys all over again !

In the meantime we've fed & clothed them for 30 years on our Land & we've done more development work in Afghanistan than anyone had the right to ask of us; just go through this - Journey of Friendship - Pakistan's Assistance to Afghanistan

And how do they repay that ? By taking part in the intrigues of breaking up Pakistan again to make their Greater Afghanistan by not only supporting Baluch Separatists but by also supporting the TTP - the terrorist group that has the blood of nearly 50,000 Pakistanis on their hands !

Did I miss anything @Icarus ? :coffee:

But why are the doing all these?

I'm anything but fat, like I said they're tough buggers. When I was in PMA we had an altercation in our platoon when a Balti said that Kashmiris (Neelum and Jhelmum Valley walay) would ally with an independent Kashmir over Pakistan. The Kashmiris, we had 3, took offence and a loud argument followed. Next thing we knew it was our entire platoon and the CSM's danda for "lack of comradeship".

I said that in jest ! :cray:

Okay Kangriii Pehalvan !

They - the Kashmiris - were correct to be angry; I remember my cousins in Muzafarrabad beat up another cousin of ours who talked about an 'Independent Kashmir' & only when our parents & grandparents came out separating them from him was he able to get a breather from those punches & the kicks that were being thrown about !

Suffice it to say no one ever spoke to him again for a long time; not even the Elders or the Women - See we lost a cousin of ours in Kashmir in the '90s - a 14-15 year old - in a Pro-Pakistan Rally when some trigger happy Indian Soldier thought about opening fire at a boy waving a Pakistani Flag !

The Baltis take great pride in having achieved independence through independent struggle. It's important to get stuff out of the way in PMA, lets you move out of your "ethnic pride" and embrace a greater Pakistani identity. We had sessions where seniors would come up to our floors and use all sorts of ethnic and linguistic stereotypes to insult us, just so that we would stop taking pride in this narrow frame of mind and see the bigger picture.

An extremely good thing too - Provincialism should have no place in Pakistan ! :)

Phir @Icarus - Tell us about Kargil ? :)

Who the heck thought that one up ?

Adventurism of the kind that has ensured not only unprecedented build-up by India but our international standing being soiled to nothing & that too right when Vajpai visited Pakistan ! :hitwall:

It's from before my time but be sure it had the complete blessings and backing of Nawaz Sharif.
