Indeed sir! Jinnah and Nehru were essentially the different sides of same coin, both being ardent champions of Fabian Socialism and anti-imperialists.Jinnah would be more comparable to Nehru rather than Gandhi Ji.
For many Pakistanis Iqbal can be compared with Gandhi.
Iqbal inspired Jinnah's struggle or better said Jinnah took over Iqbal's conceptual thinking.
Sadly the nation did not get much of Jinnahs time due to his poor health which remained a secret for many Pakistanis at that time.
Had Jinnah survived half a decade i would be in a better position to answer your question.
But we have not forgotten Jinnah nor Iqbal. We can always build on those foundation stones provided the nation's voices get heard.
It is my view that Iqbal influenced Jinnah than the other way around, but what made Iqbal himself go round is more of interest.
Anyway, nice to engage in meaningful conversation amidst all the hate.
