I can speak Kannada, English, Hindi and a little bit of Marathi from my mother and Kodava takk (coorgi) from my father as he is from Coorg.

Yes, Coorg is a beautiful region, spent lot of my childhood days in coorg as most of my relatives from my father's side lives there. I understand kodava takk and can manage little conversation

my roommate was practicing yoga and was follower of sathya sai baba. he used to watch his videos and i liked the sound of the language very much. actually i loved it though i have tons of books on other dravidian languages like kannada, tamil, malayalam etc. i have only 1 book on telugu named parlons télougou which misses its first 100 pages hope i answered your question

That's not entirely correct ! around 50% GSBs are non-vegitarians or shall I name them "Fishitarians",

in Kerala, GSBs are known as pure vegetarians. they have their own temples and priests. Malayali brahmins are called Nambudiri while those from Tulunad(Sivalli brahmins) who does the pooja mostly in Travancore areas are called Embrandiri or potty's.

mostly it is Nambudiri or Embrandiris who does shanthi job in temples of Kerala. pattars have their own temples like gsbs.
