What if Pakistan was not a nuclear power?

I was thinking about this and need your views. What if Pakistan was not armed with nuclear weapons and India was, where do you guys think we would be standing today? Do you think we would be as strong and confident as we are today, or do you think we would just be like afghanistan or bangladesh under the influence of India?

Another thing.

What if India was not a nuclear power and Pakistan was? Would the large numbers of its forces and military equipment be able to save itself. Would we attack it conventionally if we had to. Having nuclear arsenal to back up the attacks?

These scenarios are hypothetical but we can share views and may be figure out if we are going wrong.

If Pakistan was no nuclear power, then given immaturity of Indian Government, Armed Forces, and populace they would have done any of the following:
1. Isolated us (The real isolation not the BS bakhts believe)
2. Stopped our water.
3. Launched a fully fledged invasion while overwhelming us with their sheer numbers and nukes, completely taking Kashmir, and dividing Pakistan in several parts.


If India had no nukes while we did, then situation would've been pretty much present like. Just a little bit more better in Pakistan's endavour. We are not power crazed, and haven't been fed propaganda like the supa-dupa-powa. But yes India would've felt Pakistani pressure hell a lot more than they currently do.

So our nukes are a blessing for us and curse for India. But I think if india didn't have nukes we would also help separatists in India and break it apart like they would break us apart if we didn't have nukes.

Agreed. But the real obsession of this "division" thing is with Indians. We would've rather focused on important things like securing or water, protecting Kashmirs against Indian barbarity, and economy; while knowing any Indian misadventure will translate as a nightmare for India.

Yea nukes helped alot. Its funny though sometimes India media says we are bluffing them with nukes and we actually don't have any.

India had nukes in 74 and it wasnt untill mid 80 's that we had made one ourself. Why didnt India take advantage of this long period? Despite the nukes people forget that we have one of the largest army and airforce in the world.

India does not harbour territorial ambitions toward Pakistan. Collectively, as a nation, we ceded GB and the area known as 'AK' long before nukes came in the picture. India is ok with the status quo while Pakistan still obsesses over the valley.

If you compare to international armies or air forces, we do have a large army and airforce but when it comes to india their numbers are quite high even though the quality of our forces is much better. Now coming back to your question they didn't do anything because may be according to them they had damaged us in 71.

If we didn't have nukes we would not exist. We would suffer a fate for worst than the Palestinians. We would have ended up like the Jews in Nazi Germany.

Yea they didn't attack because their army knows we're not bluffing. But their media wants destruction they want their people to believe we don't have nukes so that the people pressurize their government and army to attack. What could be their agenda behind this?

Simple. It's the same misinformation and propaganda that indians on PDF sprout. To give the indian population the false belief/illusion that India is a superpower on the same level as that of America, Russia & China. Feel good factor.

All I'm going to say (don't want to get banned), is we've had indians on PDF claim that indian scientists are more advanced then those of NASA. Make of that what you will but that's all I'm going to say.

In that case we wud read the history as:

Or you could simply ask the Iraqis, Afghans, Syrians & Libyans what happens when you don't have a suitable deterrent.
