What do Chinese think of Pakistan?

China does not do enough to inform the Chinese public about who their friends, or enemies are. For example, the west is constantly trying to subvert China, however, the Chinese public generally admires westerners. The exception to this rule is Chinese who go out of their way to find out what is actually happening. Those people don't have a favorable view of the west because they know what is happening.

The Chinese media generally minimizes exposure to western efforts to destabilize China, therefore, very few Chinese actually know about what the west is trying to do to China. On the other hand, the media seems to be in the hands of pro western cliques, and does not properly inform the Chinese public about Pakistan. The pro western cliques also glorify the west. What ends up happening is, the Chinese don't know a whole lot about Pakistan, or its importance to China. In fact, most Chinese wouldn't know the difference between Pakistan, and India. It is precisely China's lack of political education that is leading to China's declining power in the world. Pakistan on the other hand is very clear about who the Chinese are, and what their stances are. They are also clear on the difference between China, and Japan, for example. In that sense, the Pakistanis seem to be more informed.

You can see how China's current modus operandi will distance its friends, while empowering their adversaries.

The west, on the other hand, knows who their friends, and enemies are. Take Japan for example. They are generally glorified in the western media, while China is vilified. By doing this, the western czars are programing their followers to hate China, and love Japan. This gives Japan more incentive to accomodate the west, while giving pressure to China for disobediance. It also brings Japanese civilians closer to westerners.

China's approach has been the opposite, and a failure. They glorify the west, while ignoring countries like Pakistan, and Sudan. This approach doesn't do much to cultivate the friendship.

If China made half the effort they make to glorify Hongers, and Taiwanese, to glorify Pakistanis, that will bring the two countries much closer together, and strengthen both China, and Pakistan.

But make no mistake, China consciously chooses what they choose to air, and not air on television. For example, Hong Kong is fairly anti Chinese, however, Hong Kong movies, and shows flood the Chinese media, enabling Hongers to make billions off the mainland entertainment market. What message does this send out? That you can hate China, and China will still love you? On the other hand, countries friendly to China, such as Pakistan, and Sudan, they don't get any media coverage at all.

I don't know what I'm missing here, but is there really a point to glorify people who already hate you? Why bother focusing on those who hate you? Focus on those who like you, and go from there. That is simple elementary logic isn't it?

Because China is afraid of Muslim separatists, they've alienated the Muslim world, and that is a very big mistake, because Muslims are not someone you want to ignore, or alienate. They're the ones you want to align with.

The American imperialists said, whoever dominates central Asia shall dominate the world. However, I believe, whoever gains the loyalty of the Muslim world will dominate the world. That is how important Muslims are, and China is on the wrong track.

For those reasons is why I believe that China is run by a bunch of sell outs who are out to hurt China's own interests.
You observations about China’s to European culture is true but your concern is misplaced.

It is true that there are so much European and American stuff in China ranging from McDonald’s, Starbucks, Buick, BMW, to architecture, movies and TV series. We just consider them as the product of culture advancement and we are happily embracing them and using them to enrich our life. If we look back, China has been like that for the last 2000 years. The Silk Road has brought and sent goods, technology, clothing etc from Middle East and Europe for centuries. This doesn’t lead to China to forget who is friend or lost its view of the grand scheme of things.

Having said that, China and Chinese in general does not have a rivalry or confrontational view towards any civilizations, we just consider everyone as part of the world. US is not an foe to China, it is a competitor in a marathon race. It has the lead but we are working our way to catch up with it. Equally saying they hate China may be a bit sentimental, naturally Western feels little bit uncomfortable for not being dominated in all fields, which will improve over time.

No. Most Chinese still prefer Asian look. Below is screenshot of a Chinese **** website. The first two bars are Asian sources(without mosaic and with mosaic). The last one is European and American sources. You can see the view number differences.

Could that be, because most people in general are scared of dating outside their race? I did not specify this, but my assessment was for people willing to date outside their race.
Your point is quite valid, too.

Just go visit china and make a few videos. U will be pleasantly surprised. Every one knows about BA Tie 巴铁 and everyone in china consider them good friends.

It costs just 20,000 ( 200 USD) PKR to reach chinese city of urumqi from azad kashmir pakistan. Staying there living and food for a month travel would cost u another 60,000 for a month.

So if u just visit and stay in xinjiang province and travel there 1000 USD (1 lakh 25 thousand) is enough for a month.

If u want to travel more like visit beijing and shanghai as well while on a month long trip take 2000 USD. U have to take high speed highly comfortible chinese trains though no flights.

But this is the way to travel in real world long hours land trips talking to locals having fun sharing stories . eating quality food . visiting breath taking places and amazing chinese cities and people.

No other country offers that much stuff for just 2000 USD for pakistani person.

Not to forget the love , Respect and friendship you get from chinese people when u tell them you are from pakistan.

Just travel like u would travel in pakistan. Be good don't do anything u cant do in pakistan. Don't break the chinese law u will have one heck of a trip.

Iv been to dubai , kazakhistan , Russia nothing compares. Europe is expensive and very far away so i suggest if u are like me in ur kid 20s or late 20s a student and full of energy and curiosity go visit China. It can be an eye opener.

I think the Chinese are economic rivals to US but do not have the antipathy toward western civilization as Pakistani's do. Even those living in America like @lastofthepatriots carry a chip on their shoulders and it comes across in many ways - mostly disparaging anything western or bizzarely going around accusing others of being 'western slaves'. The irony being that they are sat in the pumping heart of the west.

The Chinese appear to draw no walls between themselves and the west. However there is extreme economic rivalry. The Chinese to use the analogy of a another member here want to join the west in the same 'marathon' and beat it on it's own rules. Pakistani's on the other hand consider joining in the marathon or by playing by it's rules as 'sell out'.

China's culture now is too close to the west, it's time for China to rollback to a point between the west culture and Chinese traditional culture.

Chinese culture was and is never not a closed culture( except some special periods), we welcome Buddhism, Islam, Christian, Taoism, Marxist, communist, socialist........

Still can not accept western open sexual relationship though, at least for the next 20 years for most of Chineses but two true lovers sex before marriage is ok !

Casual sex is a thing in north east china. Places like liaoning and heilongjiang. Chinese of north east i find them more open to casual sex or relationships as compared to western or central chinese or even southern ones.

Its a big country different kinds of people everywhere. So much variety u cant put all of them in one basket. China is like a mini world (planet)

The issue is bigger then what this guy's identity is. I think Pakistan has a issue. For example I am pretty sure more Chinese tourists go to India then Pakistan. I can understand why Pakistan has no Israeli tourists and India is awash with them but Chinese?

A quick read up tells me over 210,000 Chinese tourists went to India. I doubt even 2,000 went to Pakistan. Somebody have any stats for Pakistan?
i 'm not interested to go to India as its too dirty.

Stop running your mouth old man. I thought you had put me on your ignore list. I never even mention you since I consider you a third tier human just like your British Sahibs.

If I may put in my 2 cents, Chinese government is just inexperienced in dealing with civilizational differences.

Western riches, technology, science, lifestyle and all the accoutrements of modernity have taken Chinese psyche by storm. This is true of both the government and the people. Naturally, they like to admire everything Western even though, geopolitically, the USA is a rival.

When it comes to dealing with other civilizations and cultures, Chinese citizens are as uncomfortable as the Chinese state. This is partly due to geographical isolation for millennia from much of the Middle East and Muslim world. It does not help that China sits behind a big firewall that basically cuts off Chinese citizens from much of the Muslim or developing countries.

This apathy or antipathy towards developing and Muslim countries can only be resolved if Chinese citizens become more self aware, learn more about the limitations of Western civilizations and explore the world not through the prism of short term tourists or profit seeking businessmen alone.

Right now, I believe China severely lacks the "cultural capital" required to try to understand the concerns and then formulate policies for Muslims or developing countries.

I have travelled in asia and china like every other asian country , worships the white man and women.
Their natural instinct is admiration , while the taught behaviour is the whites are bad.
Inspite of the well advertised progress of china , the highest number of students to usa are from china and if i recall correctly , china has the max number of migrants to usa after mexico.

From the very begining, Chinese have been suspicious of whites. Indeed when whites first came in contact with the Chinese, it was believed that whites were savages. All the way up until a few decades ago, it would have been humiliating for a Chinese woman to marry a white man. The same in Korea. In fact, the Chinese were so suspicious of whites that the Chinese quarantined whites to Guangzhou, and whites were only allowed to go to Guangzhou and nowhere else. Guangzhou is where whites earned the name "fangwailo", which means savage ghost man. Ghost can also be translated into monster. So this is what the Chinese thought. In fact, even Hongers today refer to whites as gwailo. It wasn't until the west became strong through ill gotten means that they were able to beef up their propaganda. This is when views of whites began to change, and it was anything but natural. The west was able to successfully reprogram, or brainwash Asians into believing whites are superior, but people who have experience dealing with whites are also suspicious of whites. Take for example black Americans. They have 200 years experience dealing with whites, and if you ask black Americans what they think about whites, a lot of them will tell you they don't like them. Even if you go to Japan today, a lot of establishments forbid the entry of whites. This is also because the Japanese have their fair share of experience with beligerent whites who cause trouble.

As far as the Chinese emigrating to America, that doesn't mean they like white people, it means they like money. I'm sure that if Africa became rich, Chinese-Americans would move there, and abandon America.

Interesting perspective.

Did China really embrace foreign culture in the 1960s? Was it more of a communist and developing countries' platform for seeking solidarity?

Nice to know your views though.
China did embrace foreign culture. Their outlook was international, and internationalism. Mao, and his followers believed that if China were to unite the third world, they could defeat western imperialism. The alliance was mostly with comunist, and socialist countries. There may have been a few exceptions. Indeed you can get a lot more done if you create a strong network of allies. So Mao actually invited a lot of Africans to China to study, and train. If you look at the old Chinese posters, you will often see Romanians, Albanians, Africans, and Latin Americans. Prior to that, China had a lot of exchanges with the USSR. Many Chinese spoke Russian, and visited Russia. A lot of China's red songs were modeled after Soviet ones. It was only when Xiaoping took over that he abandoned China's friends, and embraced China's enemies. At this time, Xiaoping focused only on the west, and their stooges. This is also why many believe that Xiaoping was a traitor to China, and actually the gang of 4 had warned us about him, and his supporters. It turns out the warnings were true, because what he did was lose all of China's former allies, except maybe Pakistan, and gained no new allies. What he did was make the west even stronger.

This is precisely why China is doomed. This man literally considers Mcdonalds, and Starbucks to be an advancement. You do know that Mcdonald's will give you health problems, and coffee is a drug?

Post more Chinese girls please.

I take some convincing.

@django @jamahir

Cheers, Doc
Some of those Chinese Tajik girls are very nice indeed.Kudos Doc
