On a more friendly note, as an overseas Chinese, I have heard it all, from in and out. So try to refrain from your urge to "educate" me about what you think I don't know.

CCP came to power through revolution, and they reformed the whole country through revolutions, brutal at times and to few but compassionate to the most. China came to where it is today, precisely because of earlier revolutions paved that way for the later development.

My point is that Chinese people are hard working people, however the first 30 years of its existence CCP strangled China. Deng Xioping realized that CCP needs to stay out of people's lives for economic growth. America helped China by providing education to 250,000 students and in return China trained Afghan Mujahedeen.

Unfortunately CCP also trained Uyghurs to go and fight in Afghanistan.

I bet you have never been to China in the last 20-30 years, and had no idea what CCP means to regular Chinese folks, barring those testfying in congress. China doesn't become to the public enemy number 1 for the USA, simply because CCP murders Chinese people, or puts them into concentration camps.

Are you implying that only Northeast Asian countries can do wonder, even a dirt-poor country like China, because they have the hard working nature?

Deng Xiaoping's great reform was based on and taking off from the foundation layed in the first 30 years of revolution and social reforms. He would have been just as powerless as Modi had he been dispatched to India to launch a reform back then.

I have no idea about 250,000 Chinese students USA provided education to, even if that might be true, the most of them probably chose to stay in the USA rather than renturning to China. Therefore, it's not a significant part of today's China story.

CCP is not a saint, and that's why we wonder why the west always use the standard of a saint to gauge China and why they don't use the same standard to measure other countries?

Developing a tiny country like Japan or Korea is way way different from developing a continental size massive country with the world most drastic geographically terrains, climates and one fifth of the world humanity.
KMT managed Taiwan pretty well due to taiwan's size and small population, but when it ruled mainland China, it was a total disaster.

Japan or S.Korea is like France or Germany in Europe. China is like Russia in Europe. US would allow France and Germany to develop to certain level(certain). But it would never allow Russia to develop to that "certain level". For US, small countries are easy to control. Russia and China are too big to be controlled. China's economic success is much more difficult than other east Asian countries.
