What's new

We had to take defensive measures at all times after the Balakot strike: Air Marshal Nohwar

The ENTIRE fleet of JF-17's and F-16? Isn't that like 100 + 72 = 172 Jets in total as opposed to 250+ SU-30MKI? So doesn't that mean that IAF still had dozens more fighters equipped with BVR???
we have 76 F16s!

.
Why don't you plan a citizen investigation to the Balakot madrassa, its only for small kids??
madrasa is always for kids what you expect a 50 years old will be madrasa student ?:partay:

I don't post alot but why not sometimes. I remember back around 2008 when PAF received F16 block 52 the then air chief Rao Qamar Suleman said that the balance of Power in South Asia is now Matched and Balanced. People on this forum were like SU30 carries 8 or 10 BVR and with this much Range one squadron of SU 30 can wipe out entire PAF. They still didn't believe in what AIM 120 can do. Today after more than a decade It's coming from IAF. My chemistry professor used to say all chemical reactions are possible on paper do they really happen in nature ? NOP.
There is nothing in IAF inventory that can match AIM 120 and let's not forget the SD 10 too.

so your only source is PDF, then why you're always pretending to be an expert here if you don't know basic of tactics/strategies and technicalities of different weapons @Umair Nawaz o_O
question after question is not good for healthy discussions.......the difference b/w me and u is that whatever i say, DO prove to be truthful, from that Teja's 1 hrs internal fuel capacity(as u can see in the design of its mark 2 version) to this BVR engagement....My sources are the people who had been posted on important positions/projects in Airforce, from Shaheen Exer 2018 till Blk3 getting delayed till 2021/22 to incorporate the J10C tech etc are all my claims/information that I completely standby with, as for u not agreeing with me, i have already told u to wait till 14 august of this year to see that. As for my PDF reading, lets just say im in the forum for long enough to differentiate b/w the credible members who r serving in armed forces or r connected to Def. industry as well as a lot of senior and Professional international members.

I KNOW WHAT I SAY! AND I COMPLETELY STANDBY IT, yes i got that ferry range concept wrong and Angle of attack concept as well since im not engineer or aviation expert either, but my information was DEAD ON! as seen by Mk2 design and their media as well started to talking abt it in different words like accepting that it has endurance problems.

Now im in all my right to ask u, where do u get yr side of information mister?

How on earth a country like India developed fighter jet with only one hour of endurance, and today low by bass turbofan are highly fuel efficent and also IAF also have air tankers and in war most of fighter jest will siting on forward bases, this is not 50s era that fighter jets has high fuel consumption due turbojets, your baseless speculations and speculations worth nothing here, this show your standard that you have a very low IQ about military tech @Umair Nawaz

im not prepared to reopen the discussion of a settled issue......u can ask such questions from those in DRDO who commit such blunders! As far as im concern, with the mark-2 being made public proves my point!

Im however still waiting for the answers to my questions!

What question, and DRDO not claiming that Tejas has 1 hour endurance, but some indian media claiming that which have no knowledge on defense matters @Umair Nawaz :crazy:

Where do u get YR INFORMATION? if u want to truly convinced me that my info is wrong then kindly tell us about yr REAL SELF and yr sources too........because i also have a concern as to how a man living in America would know better then what i know who is a full Pakistani citizen and lives here and so r his sources too living here as well.

you seems to have not real information about jet engine, we are living in 21st century not 1950 era where jet era just started jet engine age where turbojets had have a high fuel consumption, you can dig yourself and do research on net, ferry range of Tejas almost same as JF-17, that's means Tejas has the endurance more than of 1 hour @Umair Nawaz

Teja is now overweight the mark-1 and 1A version......they made it was a 3rd or 3.5 gen jet, but had to overload it with tech....Do u know that original Teja just had a speed of mach 1.1? That was until late 2000s, when JF17 flew with mach 1.6.....They then replace its original engine around which the a/c was developed with American engine...engine did fit into it, and increase its speed but increased the load, along with other 21 century system they loaded or kept on loading it with....That had a very negative effect on its endurance since they had gone for speed with that American engine.....

This is a good video which explains this entire phenomena and has all indian links no foreign links.

It being overweight is the reason why its been rejected by its Navy, who were the first ones to order Tejas in late 2000s ie 50 or so jets. Mark-2, has reduced weight, more powerful engine(i maybe wrong on engine part abt mark2) with more internal fuel capacity, as seen in the mark 2 design who has a fat fuselage just like F16C/Ds have vs F16A/Bs

This blunders in this project was done by DRDO who had designed and managed this project.

Now coming back to my point of discussion.....i havnt asked u to explain yr disagreement......im asking abt yrself and yr own sources?

are u a civilian like me or a military man? and where do u get yr information from?

Lack of sales and lack of Interest by India's own armed forces in their products, the much touted HAL or Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is on the verge of Bankruptcy.
The organization makes weapon systems such as Tejas and Assembles SU-30MKI.
Every SU-30MKI they make is insured for 2.5 Billion INR and rumour says that some SU-30 are built to crash for insurance claims.
The organisation has been plagued with too much commercialisation, and a strategy of aimless spendings into multiple projects , many of which never enter service , such as Kaveri Jet engine project. The organisation failed to make a jet engine after spending years and billions, and had to ask GE of USA for help and still the engine found no purpose.
The organisation has 29,000 Employees and now struggling to pay their salaries.
HAL recently borrowed 10 Billion Indian Rupees to pay staff salaries.

I am civilian and doing lots of technical research especially on Fighter Jets and as for your information first flight of Tejas had have in 2001-2002 with US engine, every new system/jet has a complexities/problems during the development Phase even naval F-35 had a problem and later fixed by L & M, I wold like to say Tejas is LATE COMING AIRCRAFT @Umair Nawaz

Your all speculations are wrong please tell with which engine Tejas have a speed of MACH-1.1, as for your information Tejas has first flight in 20001-2002 with US engine before that not single flight had have ever occurred of Tejas/LCA

this is the first fighter jet project by India, by this project indians trying to develop military aviation complex, and they have different approach then JF-17/Pakistan, IAF wants a complete project, i would like to say Tejas is a LATE COMING AIRCRAFT that why IAF/IN want bigger version of Tejas @Umair Nawaz

so u do atleast now can see where its endurance problem is coming from right? of it being overloaded with modern tech, its not the fault of engine was u had originally though, it was to do with weight and its speed.

This teja is a Mirage 3/5 design actually, French had been assisting indians on this project all long too. It was designed as a 3/3.5 gen fighter in 1989/90s and had mach 1.1 speed according to its ''Phase 1'' of project that was going till 2001/02 that yr talking abt.......They then started its phase-2 in that time period and till 2005-2007 they were going fine with it as u can see in the video where he described its history, but all that changed when a proper 4 gen fighter with mach 1.6 speed JF17 showed up. And since 2010, the year first SDN of JF17 was inducted and it debuted on international airshows like that UK's thing started to change for Tejas in its FOC in its second Phase.....

This had made them load it with modern technology of western/israeli origin and a better American engine etc etc resulting in it getting overweight hence effecting its endurance......These reasons have destroyed its phase 2 development that was originally planned for this project in late 80s or 90s.

Now with Mark-2, it seems that they have started learning from their mistakes, lets see what happens now.

as seen in the video, its from tejas own website, it had mach 1.1 speed according to its original plan and it was going smoothly till 2007/2010 atleast when JF17 showed up and debuted on international airshows.
