‘WE COULD BECOME ANOTHER PAKISTAN’

Ok. Lets see.

They dont have energy crisis because they are doing better than you in case of their energy needs. You lose.

They share border with India and so do you. Sorry baby, you dont get the benefit of doubt here.

They never used proxy war as a state policy in the first place. They are making better policies than you. You lose here too.

May be because they dont believe in terrorism as a state policy?
You lose for the final time.
Bring on more examples if you have.

It is never about win or lose or this and that. These two countries are incomparable.

The points put forth by LoveIcon are very valid, and under the given circumstances, Pakistan is actually doing great!

It is the country where it took 66 years for democracy to complete its 5 year term. The same country that hosts millions of Afghan refugees - they are not continents apart to dump Afghans as the US did, so they had to take them in. And then their biggest enemy is economically and diplomatically ever more powerful.

If you are one of those naiive internet warriors who thinks his country is the sweetest most peace loving region, then well, can't say anything. However, if you were to think rationally, few countries are sandwiched between unlikely neighbors and yet manage to keep going on like this.

Were Bangladesh and Pakistan to be replaced with each other, Bangladesh would have been forced to become a militant nation and would have fared way worse than does Pakistan.

And the Islamist awakening is still very recent and young phenomenon in Bangladesh, compared to Pakistan where it began just 5 years after the independence and continued throughout... it won't take too long to see how they manage it in that crowded chaotic country. Pakistanis are doing any time better than could the Bangladeshis.

You should actually check out how some dedicated Bangladeshis tend to prostrate in front of Saudi or American investors - That should tell you what the future would have been had it been Bangladesh instead of Pakistan there.

@Not Sure [/MENTION]
I didnt mean otherwise.
The points put by loveicon are answered the way they should have been.
You rightly said that the two countries are incomparable. LoveIcon did the exact same thing.

There energy needs are less at the moment which will increase with growth, We also didn't had these a 7-8 years ago. Yes ATM it looks like they have done good job, let's see if they are able to keep it up.

Love to lose on this point if you agree to put India on same scale as Afghanistan is

They don't need to fight with proxy is because there defense is already in control of their beloved neighbor, they don't have to fight covert wars with b@stards, they have no enemy who is funding terrorists in their country. Pakistan have to deal with all these and return favor with interest.

what pakistani model you are talking about. Anything specific?
Bangladesh growth rate is higher than pakistan since 90s for most of the years. They started from low level, thats why its lower.

LOL Bangali Growth rate is not higher then us its just a myth. Provide sources to back your claim.

use google public data explorer(search the term 'gdp growth rate pakistan')...the url will be like google.com.pk/publicdata... usually the first result returned with a graph.

Add bangladesh from left side for graphical comparison.
Data source: world bank

BD have to go on a overdrive in manufacturing vests of a particular type and give a free hand to jamaati loons for a decade atleast to reach the pakistan's current situation.. ! Thats a tough ask I should say :D

I'm sorry, but is there an Afghanistan next to Bangladesh to warrant such a scenario?

Ignoring all the verbal gibberish here; yes, there are political problems, but not exactly the same as whatever is happening in Pakistan.

But yes, it is quite severe which can have potentially dire ramifications.

Sir there is Myanmar and the Rohingya issue can take a turn for worse

you know, both india and pakistan receive bad media coverage, news always saying about either rape in india OR bombs in pakistani, I personally think should have tried to resolve issues BEFORE and not separate, but now, far too late.....

there exports of garments are duty free to most if not all western world we on the other hand have to pay duties above the quota given to us.You cant compare oranges and apples here?

$231 Billion is part of the economy thats reported i am sure bigger part is still hidden as people do any thing not to pay tax.we have gone from 91 billion to 231 in less then decade plus the security situation.

Free economy our trade laws or more liberal then any other country in our neighbor hood and thats making a difference.

If policies of previous govt continue, Pakistan will becom Bangladesh and not the other way round.

However, if you look on the streets of Karachi, you will see a lot of Bangladeshis working in menial jobs. I dont think you will see Pakistanis doing that in Bangladesh! So the initial analogy is wrong to begin with.

They never stop from comparing apple with watermelon where even size tells that it's not comparable and you are telling not to compare apple with orange. :omghaha:
