What's new

We are a nuclear power, and know how to defend ourselves: Sartaj Aziz

All possibilities have been considered by Pakistan before creating their nuclear war capability and doctrine. The remaining ones will pray for death after MAD (God forbid).

Survivors on both sides will get on with life and rebuild. Example being Japan. India by dint of its larger size, infra & population will rebuild faster. India will again be ahead of Pakistan in all conceivable parameters.

So again, whats the point really?

BTW independent of Indian politics, there is a growing refusal in Indian public opinion to be dictated by nuclear threats which translates into lesser public calls for nuclear restraint to the Indian govt. Many are calling to reverse India's no first use policy. May not happen but scope for nuclear blackmail is getting smaller.

The thing with Indians is that they think they know every thing specially about Pakistan :D

Mister there will be plenty surprises for India in any future war and don't try to judge someone who you don't know.

Have you ever visited Kashmir? Were you there in Kargil war areas?
Actually you Pakistanis think only you have surprises buy don't worry I know what type of surprises are reserved for you and goyt papa(China) so you can try anytime yo get your jugular vein. :D
We will be waiting.

Japan's example is not valid. Both the bombs that were dropped on Japan were less than 15kt each. The nuclear weapons that Pakistan and india each have, have a higher yield. Even IF Pakistan doesn't have enough nuclear weapons at the moment to damage india as many indians here claim and that a nuclear war is heavily in india's favour than india should opt for a nuclear war with Pakistan now. Because in 10, 15 or 20 years Pakistan will have enough warheads with high yields to completely destroy india.

The more important concern is what shape the Pakistani economy will be in 10, 15 or 20 years.

TBH it's hard to determine the nuclear weapons capability of Pakistan as most people doubted this capability even existed the day before Pakistan's test in 1998. Everyone was surprised by it. But having said that the only nations on earth who are capable of producing extremely advanced weapons is US/West/NATO, Russia and to some extent China. Other nations cannot do so indigenously so they will always be behind and playing catch up. For this reason alone, provided Pakistan doesn't have a war with these nations mentioned above it stands a good chance of overcoming any other adversaries. US/WEST/NATO, Russia and China are too far ahead and have 0 competition for advanced weapons and WMD production capability from any other nation on earth.

Maybe. But that remains to be seen. It will take a decade to come to a valid conclusion.

Whatever the outcome, it is quite clear that the bottleneck in the Khunjerab Pass will keep the strategic value of the entire transit corridor low.

Japan is not good example for any future Nuclear war, those weapons were tine in terms of everything, today's nukes are way different and powerful, radioactive.

From a personal point of view I don't even want 1 life lost. Economic might is one of the reasons why China is successful. The main reason though for China's success is their national ability to indigenously manufacture from scratch advanced high tech world class military weapons without having to export them.
