No it was not.


1) India was richest place until the British looters arrived
2) British caused mass famine and would not let Indians even make their own textile clothes, they had to import from sunny Manchester.
3) British looked down on Hinduism until they came to know Sanskrit is mother of all Indo-european language

No one was comfortable with the britishers in 30s and 40s...
Yes they have gifted us with english,railways,ports,some good building a good capital..
But they have taken a lot from us,for example our KOHINOOR, no i m not talking about pakistan and bangladesh..

I heard of the famine in India wasn't it during WW2 ? British needed food and got it from India.
