I USED TO THINK WHATS THE REASON BEHIND PAKISTAN KARACHI VIOLENCE AND WHY PAKISTAN IS BEING SURROUNDED BY THREE MAJOR POWER AND THE WORLDS BIGGEST MILITARY ALLIENCE.ITS THE WEALTH AND MIERALS WE GOT AND THE WHOLE WORLD IS HUNGERY FOR OUR REASOURCES.

I HOPE WE UNDERSTAND ALL THIS WAR ON TERROR AND 911 AND ALL THIS PROPAGANDA GOING ON ABOUT PAKISTAN PORTRAYED AS NATION WITH TERRORISTS.

I don't think War on Terror is for resources - Sure there could be long term strategic goals but to say it is mainly for stealing Oil i think is very simple.US lost more then trillion of dollars in these wars and they could have bought A LOT Of oil from this money and save their reputation as well as human cost.

It is unfortunate that people are looking for out of the ordinary, theatrical and ulterior motives to explain the War on Terror which has the blessings of the entire international community. We need to understand that the War on Terror is being fought In and not With Afghanistan. Similarly, the government and military of nations that are affected by the plague of terrorism, such as Pakistan, are fighting the same violent ideology on their land. Where is the propaganda against Pakistan, has the U.S government not declared that Pakistan is suffering from terrorists the most? Have not brave Pakistani soldiers died at the hands of the TTP? Have their sacrifices not been recognized by the U.S? Was it not the TTP that turned a beautiful place like the Swat Valley, into a nightmare? Do you not remember the terrified people of Swat fleeing for their lives due to TTP’s tyrannical rule of the area?

Should we have the mindset of an ostrich that hides its head underground in order to escape from reality? Or is it better to combat our fears and aim for a peaceful future for our children? That is the benefit that the U.S and dozens of different nations around the world seek when they fight alongside each other to defeat the enemies of humanity. Allegations of stealing resources have been thrown at us before in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Libya, as you witness the withdrawal of the U.S from Iraq and the transition stage in Afghanistan, pay close attention to the fact that their resources belong to them . The Iraqi and Afghan resources belong only to them; we have said this before we will say it again.

Americans have been trying to hurt pakistan for a long time. They bribed our leaders and waht about sanctions in the ninties etc

I'm sorry sir, this is absolutely incorrect. Yes there have been resource wars, but more wars are fought over ideological/political issues, and religious issues, than resources. Patriot is one of the few forum members who seem to understand that waging war for resources is a totally false economy... the cost of war (tangible and intangible) is FAR more than the cost of the resources.
