Walton to export refrigerators, ACs to India

So, it is possible that with high-quality BD make products Hyundai will penetrate deep in the Indian market. It will improve its market share.
Check my post no 24. you will get the answer.
The walton AC is their top of line and Samsung AC is mid tier of Samsung's range.

Look, all the individual markets need various kinds of goods costing high, medium or low. So, there will always be customers for Walton goods even though its quality is lower than Samson's.

@Shibaji, you have to understand the marketing policy of an international company like Hyundai. It sets its own standard and specifications based on which the manufacturer produces goods that satisfy the criteria.

So, Walton goods are as good as Hyundai goods. Indians do not have to worry about the quality of BD products. Rather, they should be worried more about the effect on India's manufacturers. They will lose in quality and therefore, the domestic market.

An electronics good is the combination of many related technologies. Two other needed components are monetary capital and institution/organization/company. Electronic technologies can be learned and copied though difficult to do so, but the last two components involving setting up a proper organization and building factories are quite difficult.

All the underdeveloped countries lack the capability to buildup the last two components and that is why they remain behind. Walton has successfully combined technologies, investment, and company to build up a strong base to produce goods that can contest in the international market. It took BD quite a few steps forward.
Why walton not exporting countries like canada? Bd have duty free access and it's pretty cheap. If they team up with local retail like Walmart or canadian tire it wont be hard to get market share. Almost all the electronics here comes from china. Walton need to get out from poor countries like Yemen or india to export and focus on Europe and north America.

People were actually buying Hyundai? We have 2 AC's at home, both samsung. My cousin brother has 1 Voltas and 2 LG and one more brother has 2 LG, both Voltas....Wherever I go I see mostly these brands.
Who even buys Hyundai? Or a better question, why would anyone buy hyundai when u have these 3 brands available?
Not aware of Hyundai home products.

I don't know the quality of BD products, because I have never seen one or used it. People buy trusted brands like LG, Voltas, Godrej, Samsung, etc... because they have enough feedbacks. We'll have to wait for this Hyundai JV with walton to really take off, as Walton is not a known brand here. And people don't buy unknown brands.

Even tomorrow, Ford decides to make an AC to sell, not sure how they're gonna sell without much brand value.

Walton only recently started it's export drive.

It has consolidated in the BD domestic market and is now starting to sell abroad. It will take some more 5-10 years before Walton products are available across the planet.

@The Ronin, why are you such a bad guy to send the type of news that causes the PDF Indians to start bickering and go mad?

Hello, as usual it wont show up in any actual materialised trade figure.

OEC 2018 when it gets updated will be another sad LDC spectacle for BD....just like 2017 figure:

https://oec.world/en/profile/country/bgd/

In 2018, BD exported 137,000 USD of refrigerator products:

Again you have come up with some outdated and imagined data spread all over the Internet. The reality is your not so favorite BD's manufactured goods are being exported to your insular India. I wonder, how agonized you will be when Indian customers touch and adore our beautiful goods. The shapes and colors will certainly be very attractive.

Ask your Amma in India not to buy BD-make fridge and A/C. Good luck and do not again report my posts. I like fun and sarcasm. You are completely devoid of these two things.

@Nilgiri

So it will be Hyundai brand..

But Indians have hard time buying Parle-G these days... Could they afford Walton?

Can you even afford Parleg if India can not afford it???Or is it like BD can not afford to buy this Wlaton or whatever brand it is, so they are sending it to India

All that 'high spending' and cant even make your own biscuits?
And what with all the 'bd ppl are known for high spending'? Literally no one has said that outside BD and literally no one says that about themselves other than BD ppl.
I guess BD ppl are known for high superficial superiority complex.

What @TopCat said is true. When the Indians are famous throughout the world for being miser, BD and Pakistani people are famous for the opposite. We work hard, earn good money, spend it lavishly, dress well and eat well. However, not all people are rich. So, there are limits on spending for every individual but the spending philosophy is almost the same.

BD & Pakistan Should receive the Apple Card.

Indians are a group of low-grade misers. People do not like to spend money. So, the producers cannot sell their goods as it is in the other two countries.

By the way, what is happening to your car industry why so many factories are laying off their workers? It is because the miser Indians are fond of running 30-year old cars, twenty passengers in a small car. You see, what I stated earlier is true.

if Parle-G can make as good as ours?
Parle-G is a biscuit, Parle is the company that makes it. It is that companies cheapest product and yet the favorite because is tastes delicious with tea.
Parle also makes Milano. Not sure if Milano is available in BD
