Wahhabism & its Connections with Terrorism..!!!

Wahhabism has become the bullseye that everyone throw every bad thing at, an imaginary boogeyman. Like saying all terrorist are automatically Wahhabi, and Wahhabis are automatically terrorists, it is not us, it is them, look at them.

It is quite sickening and ignorant and stomachache inducing. Al-Qaeda are terrorists thus they are Wahhabi, Taliban are terrorists thus they are Wahhabi, some other group will come out of no where and they will be called that too, and I am pretty sure MOST people in those groups never even heard of the term. It is the same with Iranians , everyone who hates us is automatically Wahhabi. And the most funny of this WHOLE thing is that there is NO SUCH THING AS WAHHABI TO BEGIN WITH IN THIS UNIVERSE.

The good thing is that our countries are safe and prosperous, where people follow the same teachings of Islam, while they are the ones who invent differences among themselves and trying to export it to us, it's their country and their people, they can keep calling each others names for the judgement day but it won't affect but their own people, it's ignorance and lack of education and yet logic, they mixed many of their cultural practices into Islam and trying to show it as a true version and of course alienate the ones who actually follow Islam so those won't bother them. Let them believe in whatever they want, it won't affect us since they are away.

@Armstrong, please do the necessary washing. ^^^^^^^^^. I'll go get myself a coffee. :D

There is no wahhabi at all. You can't find any person who calls himself wahhabi :disagree:

actually that is true, because my cousin is from the Salafi school. wahabi is actually a slang and derogatory word and people like to be called Salafi, Deobani or Alh Hadith instead all these schools follow Abdul Wahab and Ibn Tamiyah teaching that are to some extent very rigid form of jurisprudence now a clarification is in order

when we say someone is a fundamentalist or extremist in Islamic teaching then it deosnt refer to fundamental beliefs of Islam like Monotheism / One'ness of Allah and Muhammad PBUH being the Last Prophet, judgement day the holy books the previous holy prophets a.s etc. there is no other way to have that belief its all or nothing deal.

the argument is on the interpretation of Moamlat or Faruh about our daily lives that involve our obligations to the society and to Allah thats where different Fiqh or schools come in with a claim of a better explanation of an Islamic society. So.... a fundamentalist is one who takes things literally and is unwilling to adjust with the advent of time e.g. declaring radio haram, watching tv haram or travelling on trains and aeroplanes was declared haram by none other than Ullemah of Deoband (normally coined as Wahabis) back in the early 19 century during British raj.

to be fair though, there cant be no two arguments about Toheed (absolute One'ness of Allah and la sharika lahu) and Salafis are very clear about it and I am very staunch follower of that Prophets their families and sahabah and saints all have their grace only and only due to Allah so Praise to Him for Him being our Lord.

wahab by very meaning is actually All giver , Bestow er.. and as per Muslim faith its none other than Allah Subah wa Ta'lah.. so we got to be careful when we are describing the Al Qaeda or Taliban lunatics who are n very simple term and just subhumans or Neanderthals with no regard for the Makhlook a Khuda (creation of God).

Believe me Irfan, and everybody else in here. No matter how you can even begin to imagine your hate towards the extremists, terrorists and regis fundamentalists Tahreemis you can not even begin to imagine or reach 1% of how much I hate loath and despise them. However, the way this whole thing turned out, with generalizing, finger pointing, sectarianism that is very very prevalent in this forum disgusts me even more as it is basically only an extension of those people whom I hate the most, which are the bearded mullahs and Mutawaas who make our lives that much more difficult than they ought to be.

So next time, if you wish to direct your hate, learn where to point it and point it at the right direction, do not make up some made up sects, shove me and everyone else like me UN this country and region in it, and begin to scream foul, it is a form of ignorance, and ignorance is the same background of where those people come from.

totally agree there
its not a new trend, back in the days of British raj that derogatory term was thrown on any Muslim who was a regular observant of Shiaer e Islam whether he was Athna Ashari or Ahl Sunnah.

Saudis are guilty by association due to the AQ founder being a Saudi which is even not true because Bin Laden has Yameni roots and his then 2nd in command Al Zwahri is an Egyptian. and Since Al Qaeda claims to be followers of Salafi faith and Taliban and Lasher jhangvi of Deobandi faith so an ordinary Salafi and deobandi gets a bad press just like a muslim gets a bad press and discrimination in the west no matter how much any Muslim or specifically a Salafi faith follower will say that he doesnt agree with Al Qaeda Ideology.

So ahle hadith , deobandi and salafi are the exteremist forms of islam ? Do we have salafis in India and Pakistan ?

More than Wahabbism, I think it is the alliance of spiritual and temporal authority in Saudi Arabia (Al-Saud's and Clergy) which made a pact with the devil when getting assurances from USA in 1945 (The secret Al-Saud Roosevelt meeting at Great Bitter Lake) that they will not be overthrown or invaded by US.

In return they gave concessions to US interests in their country; sold oil to US; strengthened the Petrodollar buy selling oil only in dollars; bought weapons from US using the same Petrodollars, thus, strengthening the US Military Industrial Complex including Pentagon and CIA which in turn instigated, promoted and perpetuated internal weaknesses of Middle East nations to keep them fighting among themselves; keeping Al-Saud monarchy safe. And the vicious circle just keeps on repeating.

Earlier it was the fear of Communism looking at Muslim heartlands; now it is the spread of Islamic extremism! The same people who represent themselves as the Guardians of Islam are promoting the movements to weaken it.

It is to be noted that the check books of Al-Saud's have always been open for funding clandestine Pentagon/CIA operations which otherwise would not be able to get funding from Congress. What did Al-Saud's had to do with Contras in Nicaragua when they were funding them $2 Million per month. Taliban movement also started with Saudi funding (and apparently no direct CIA involvement); stability in Afghanistan was required to build the US/Saudi (US Unocal and Saudi Delta) funded TAPI pipeline and future projects to access Central Asia. This was - in fact - the main cause of formation of Shangahi Five (SCO) which at that time was formed to protect the Chinese energy interests in CAR region.

In Afghanistan, Amanuallh inherited the throne in 1919; gave his nation a liberal constitution; women emancipated; reforms and modern education was introduced. Roads, dams, powerplants, airlines - modernity was in air. Then he declared full independence from British influence and sent his troops to border to protect the nascent nation; battles were inconclusive but he won the independence on bargaining table. At that time, the British Raj promoted Amanuallah as an apostate and provided funds and weapons to Deobandis to go and fight a war with the apostate in Afghanistan. After a long armed movement, Deobandis were able to send Amanuallah into exile and Afghanistan in to medieval age again. Do we see the resonance here: Same Deobandis (Indian Wahabis) fighting against USSR trying to bring the apostate (communist) Afghan govt. of Babrak Karmel down.

More curious is the case of Muslim Brotherhood which had always been against the US and Israeli interest but was the first to come to Afghanistan for participating in Jahad and from then on was hand in glove with CIA during the whole Jahad operations.

Had there been Barelvis or Shias in Saudi Arabia; same would have happened to them had they not used their intellect. Wahabis/Salafi, in pursuit of their puritanic ideals, are also more malleable to be exploited.

Kudos to the people who know the history and strive for knowledge - then use it intelligently for their gain.

Allah does not change the state of a People unless they change it themselves.

So ahle hadith , deobandi and salafi are the exteremist forms of islam ? Do we have salafis in India and Pakistan ?

firstly, all sects of Islam have extrimist elements just like any other religion including those who dont belive in any god.
in other words Beralwvis , sufis and shia also have fanatic elements. the killer of Sleman Taseer was a beralvi

deobandi faith originated from Deoband in India during the britsh raj. so yes they are in India and Pakistan as well

But aren't salafis different from Deobandis ?

I know deobandis and ahle hadiths are there in the sub-continent but what about Salafis ?

Before you ask him about kalma do u follow Islam and are qualified to judge him and others?

This is a forum and this is how we discuss things by asking questions and giving answers.
I asked you a simple question and I was expecting something on the line of yes/no but anyways I
gather from your answer its a NO as Neither Hazrat Ali ( Radi allahu anhu) and neither did hazrat imam hussain(Radi allahu anhu) or any of his siblings practised and preached this kalma of shia's..

Next question is where from this came then and when after how many centuries of the karbala?

says that without the acceptance of Imam Ali's (Radi allahu anhu) Wilayat, no one's faith can be perfected
.
I guess all ahl-e-kitab accepts his stature his wisdom whole heartdly why otherwise would prophet would give his beloved daughter to him .You will see his words being preached openly in ahl-e-hadith books but you will never see words of other three khalifa's in shia's books instead you must be knowing the ways shia's adopt to insult them( Prophet married his twp daughters with Hazrat usman(Radi allahu anhu) and the stature of other two also doesnt need any words).whoz narrow minded here then?
The Shi'a of Maula 'Ali, accordingly recite and declare the Wilayat of Ali (Radi allahu anhu) in our Kalima and Adhan for the perfection of our faith, why does it bother the so-called Muftis'

because kalma as they say is the key to the main lock of that building called Islam and nobody is allowed to change it owing to self concevied meaning of some words of prophet.. if it was so necessary to change the kalma as it otherwise would have left people faith incomplete dont you think prophet himself have asked people to change it.. and this mere conversion nomatter what proofs you give to legalize it is a big crime in it self and the irony is you people cant even simply see that Hazrat ali(Radi allahu anhu) never advocated this thing and what do you think imam hussain was unaware of that hadess why dint he changed his kalma.

There were a 123,999 prophets before last prophet and the kalma always remained the same only the name of prophet was changed as per the time..

I am thankful to Allah that you have truly said. I am agree with all things except bold part such things are not Haram by Ulema. Only some of Deobandi Ulemas are conscious to watching TV.

Jazaka Allah

wahabis/salafis is a cancer which must be removed otherwise it can spread

It has spread bro.

Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Wahhab has no qualifications to be called a sheikh and his father who was a reowned scholar of his time expelled him from his house hold for deviant activities. Abdul Al Wahab then went to Najd and started impersonating in the name of his father.
