Vietnam is developing very fast
its GDP per capita was 1/3 of India when it opens up
now it is nearly 30% higher than India

its infrastructure, literacy rate, sanitation are all much better than India

the comparison of Vietnam and India shows that dictatarship wins over democracy

Well Vietnam is a friend country to Indians so we are happy for them.

.
Vietnam clearly has the edge right now, but in the long term India will surpass Vietnam and most ASEAN economies.

don't think it has anything to do with being dictatorship or communism anyhow.

And do list all the dictatorships around the world and do list other democracies apart from India to prove the point further.

It's about governance.

Political system can be a democracy, communist, monarchy or dictatorship.

Whatever the system, if you don't have proper governance, you will fail regardless of the political system.

East Asian countries are far better at governance than South Asian countries.

This is why North Koreans have a higher standard of living than Indians in terms of access to housing, clothes to wear, infrastructure, sanitation, etc.

If you don't have a great culture, proper governance will be useless too.

But of course, as CCP say Chinese traditional culture is ugly and outdated. We should copy Ukraine (the wealthiest and most advanced region in USSR).

Frankly speaking, I do not know when my country, Vietnam, can reach the level of development of North Korea.

We in North Vietnam know better about North Korea than the bullshit from Western media.

Despite all bashing from Western media, in almost all indicators, except food production, I think Vietnam would need at least 30 years to catch up with North Korea' current level of development, regarding science research, heavy industry or urban planning etc.

All the prospering and well off democracies are having some or all the following characteristics
1. it was once an empire colonist
2. It has rich natural resources per capita
3. It is protected by the hegemony so their governance wont be militarily threatened
4. It wont stand against the hegemony in major political decisions on a global scale
5. The subversive operations of the hegemony wont fcuk up their internal affairs although the snooping never dies down
6. Media wont distort or create smearing news as much towards them than the hegemonies' adversaries
7. It wont face trade sanctions but instead augment the hegemony on its ravage

Agreed. India is not the best place when it comes to efficient governance. Vietnam is bound to surpass many other so-called regional democracies. Because, no matter how much they may deny, they are one of East Asian cultures.

Apart from some territorial disputes, China and Vietnam are bound to make great allies with their pragmatist and efficient governance.

Exactly. Not all systems are doing well. India is a shining example. Today's developed West is the result of a number of favorable historical conjectures. It is not the system adopted (or indigenous-ly developed as in China's case) but historical conjectures and national culture.
