How about 吳越國 in Shanghai and Zhie Jiang ?

文郎国
of Viets was in south China. was the first semi-legendary nation of the ancient Vietnamese people. It was ruled by the Hùng Kings of the Hồng Bàng dynasty.

I have been to. Cantonese language is not Futonghua of Han Chinese in North china.

吳越國 is a short-lived independent Han Chinese kingdom.

文郎国 Van Lang belongs to Tai-kadai people, it has nothing to do Mon-Khmer people (today Vietnamese) who only migrated to North Vietnam in big numbers around 9th century.

Both Cantonese and Futonghua are Sinitic language/dialect that evolved from Old Chinese thousands of years ago.

How come you dont post genetic charts? Because it might reveal that southern “Han” Chinese also shared genes with the ethnic Zhuang, etc.? :azn:

Anyway, most of us Viets are proud of our Mon-Khmer heritage, as affirmed by biendong. It seems like you think that is somehow offensive to us?:disagree:

Southern Han Chinese did absorb some ethnic Zhuang people. They live next to each other.

I mentioned Mon-khmer to illustrate ancient North Vietnam weren't Mon-Khmer people.
It is your fellow Vietnamese members who like to make dumb ethnic attack, like Cantonese are not Chinese. Biendong just did that.

Baiyue are extinct. Their closest relative are ethnic minority like Zhuang, Bai, etc.

All your surname are based on Chinese name, it be can written in Chinese or Latin. Ancient Vietnam is home to Tai-Kadai people of China, which has nothing to do with you. Today Vietnamese are Mon-Khmer people who migrated to North Vietnam during late Chinese rule.
where do you learn history about the history of vietnam? you read some cheap fake books you bought from a black market, while you work cooking dishes in a chinese restaurant, I assume. If your claim is correct, the present chinese have nothing to do with china. The only thing you say is correct vietnam is sinized. I'm angry if someone fake history.

Any people who value individual freedom will find a friend in the USA. The only peoples of the world who view the USA as an enemy are ones who: (1) don't understand the U.S. Constitution, or (2) believe that society should be controlled by a closed elite. This is not to say that the US perfectly follows its own Constitution. It doesn't. But it tries to harder than any other society on earth. At least the people of the US strive for "a more perfect union". Adherence to the US Constitution is the reason for the material success of the US, and is the reason why the US is the #1 choice for immigrants who can reach our shores.
the Americans as being fantastic people, but 'they forget history'

do you know who said that , bro ??

we are Mon/Khmer people.

Cantonese, Min Nan people don't looks like Han Chinese in North China.
Don't spead nonsense. we are NOT mon khmer people. I wonder where you get this idea. Don't state something you don't know. Even the language we speak has nothing in common with our neighbors in cambodia and laos. Except the category Mon khmer language that our language belongs to. But that is just because some linguistics classify it. Claiming we came from khmer land is like claiming chinese came from africa.

If he talks like that in real life, he would get beat up and shot in the street here.

Ancient North Vietnam inhabitants are Tai-Kadai people of China. Astroasiatic Mon-Khmer (today's Vietnamese) migrated to from Laos ard 9th century. You speak Mon-Khmer, not sinitc languages.

What are you?

Sure, and since your forefathers worked as slaves in american rail companies, you must be black.

Linguistic is the clear evidence. This is the academic history of Vietnam, validated by Vietnamese historian. Not your nationalist BS folklore history
