The Japanese build Saigon metro keep delaying and it wont come online 2030. Project started at 2007.

Likely not because of Japanese engineering problem, but rather the Southern Faction corrupt away the monies.

The Hanoi Metro is fortunate to have a China daddy that keep throwing in monies, when project funding was embezzled.

What a ghetto looking and dangerous metro. In vietnam, everyone knows that this project is a time bomb before it collapse, literally due to its super low quality and the chinese are keep asking for more money while being late for more than a decade. Meanwhile, in the south, we use Japanese contractors to build a world class metro for saigon and the project is progressing on time and that's the only metro I'm riding in vn

We need HSR in metropolitan US cities. I live in Dallas, Texas, and our downtown infrastructure is miserable. Then again, the entire infrastructure of the US is in pretty bad shape so I guess I cannot complain too much. Low quality project look like this.

The line does not look as beautiful as i see in Tokyo. Nevertheless, it is not the beautification but the functionality of such a transport system is more important. I can see one little flaw in the line. There seems to be a sharp bend at the right center of the picture which may cause accidents/derailment of trains if the speed limit is not maintained.

Thats why Indonesia proceed with the Japan assistance for metro project, the reason is very clear.
