Why is the RED Chinese line stretching 1000s of KMs away from mainland china where as rest of the claimants well within the limits set by international maritime laws etc

Because we have 3000 nuclear weapons and the rest of the countries don't. China has already conquered Taiwan by intimidating them into reelecting their pro-China president. Now it's time to use military force to resolve the South China Sea dispute. Talking is pointless. We are simply waiting for Vietnam and india to make their move to drill for oil, and then attack their ships.

You need a reason? The reason is that from time immemorial, and right now, we have managed most of the island in the the Spratly Islands. We have managed it peacefully, we did not use any force to account for it, because before that no one owns any of it. So it is enough?

Okay, so now you abandon the occupation claim because Republic of China is indisputably the first occupant on the ONLY true island in the Spratlys. Now you want to talk about history.

Well Nguyen dynasty was a Chinese vassal state until the French took over and colonized you. So of course the Spratlys had to be China's. You were merely a vassal of the Qing Empire, not a sovereign country. After French colonization, you gained independence, but that doesn't mean you can take China's territory to be part of your new country. Especially not considering the liberated Vietnamese nation never set foot on any Spratly reefs until long after Republic of China garrisoned Taiping Island (Itu Aba)!

Whether you want to talk about occupation or history, China wins hands down!

At the end, vn's president and premier minister came to Beijing and begged China to normalize the relationship. While during those years vn busy with schemes against China, vn's economy growed like a turtle's walk.

You want that part of history to happen again? You get what you call for.

As for as China's claim, those part of islands are part of China historically and Chinese fishermen fish there year after year. Even after WWII, documents have shown those area are part of Republic of China, thus part of PRC after PRC establishes her own U.N. presence.

I hope they will realize that their claims are excessive, unreasonable and ridiculous. they will change it. War is not good for anyone.
