Isn't it funny that indians here are keen for Pakistan to go to IMF. These indians need to look after their own country which is full of poor filth ridden people, and 600 million people living on streets with one meal a day.

You can trust Chinese as much as you want. In fact Chinese can single handedly uplift Pakistans economy by importing more from Pakistan. Open up Chinese market to Pakistan.

Since the tarrif war, Chinese have opened up their market to India and Vietnam but not to Pakistan. Why is that ? I believe pakistan cannot export what they want. So first you need to build an industry to service the Chinese and EU and USA.

China drip feeding with 1 to 2 billions won't cut it. Pakistan need huge investment to shore up reserves, then cut the spending, give tax breaks to local manufacturing and STOP import of cheap Chinese goods which cannot help local industries to grow ( which is near to impossible )

Again, you can't make anyone's life worse. You are already making everyone's life worst that it can't be further increased. Moreover, many other countries will also not agree to IMF helping China get its money back.

Any option including IMF cannot be ruled out. While your foreign reserves are merely equal to 2 months of your imports and your exports are decreasing, the tax to GDP ratio is at record low and foreign remittances by expats have not increased in last many years, how can you make a country run without money? One of the foremost option is privatization of assets but it takes time and why will investors take a risk to invest in failed organizations like PIA and PSM? IMO, there is no other option but to take an IMF bailout package. Well, how much money do you think China is going to dump in Pakistani economy to make it run and wipe out its loans?

US is skeptical because of Chinese in Pakistan. They have no problems with Pak going for IMF. But none of that money should ever reach China.

The dollar is not crashing. The PKR is recovering some of its recent speculative losses, that is all.

True!! BUT STILL there is an argument and a considerable number of PMLN supports believe that is was FORCED into power. Then there next argument is how he will fail and be out in an year or so, completely ignoring the establishment. Ajeeeb logics hein yaar!

Listen, PTI do not needs any major changes is law so wont need 2/3 majority for now. If they manage to withstand the initial storm, they will come out of it stronger. I even see some forward block in PMLN, people who will be supporting him on amendments and all in 1 to 2 years time. All that this team needs to do is cut down the expenses, try and get some $$, friendly nations, looted money, Pakistani living abroad etc. Do that and they can survive.
