What about the last question, did it make you go nuts?Do you know from 2016 India will be fielding Scorpion Sub @ 1 Sub per year with AIP total planned 6 + 3.
India is also pursing another project of Subs which will be materializing by 2018-19 with goal of atleast 6 Subs????
In next 5-7 years India is going to add atleast 10 Subs.
Boy you are really going nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only way around to Indian Ocean by Chinese Navy is around Australia without getting overwhelmed by Indian Navy.
Now its Chinese who are going to die in Antarctic Sea not the Indians.
PLAN do not possess any AirCraft Carrier Capacity to ram through Indian Navy Defenses In Strait of Malacca and they cannot get too close to Australia being overwhelmed by NATO Forces led by America.
Please keep out of this its not your cup of tea!!!!!
Yes detecting a sub is difficult as long it does not announce it's presence by targeting shipping..once it does that, it comes in the cross hair themselves and becomes hunted.
Since the beginning of Naval warfare..Submarines, have never been game changers on their own.
Leasing nuclear sub is super expensive affair, Leasing Akula costed India $1 Billion...and building one costs about $2.5 Billion ..Pakistan Navy's entire budget is just $562 million.
6600 tonne Qing class submarines are not coming, they never were..Pakistani was in negotiation to buy 6 1850 tonnes S-20 Yuan class..a deal was suppose to be finalised last year itself, but is no where in sight yet.
If and when the deal is signed, it will still take 6-7 yrs for first submarine to arrive.
The deal for the 6 Qing class was signed 4 years ago. Maybe there are another 6 S-20 coming too.
Indeed let's not kid ourselves, maybe the damage before that happends will not be sustainable for the INIndia is far more effective in securing its national interests than Pakistan has ever been (thanks to your inept leaders and years of military dictatorships) so India being sucked into anything that hurts her long term interests just isn't going to happen. Not many Indians would call the US an "ally" but there are clearly huge benfits to a relationship with the US- only a fool would deny this.
As far as I recall the US got Pakistan to join the longest ongoing war of modern times (the so-called "war on terror"), remind me how that is going for you....
Challange in what sense? The PN's lifespan would be a matter of days in a conflict with the IN, let's not kid ourselves.
