Actually, that article did make sense.

The key thing that the Americans are worried about is terrorism/extremism (Denial of terrorism) in Bangladesh, even though Muslims of Bangladesh aren't particularly extreme or anything, or known to fund terrorists or become suicide bombers. But, it is their view. I bet most Americans don't even know where Bangladesh is

Indeed, things have changed in the post 9/11 world. And it appears rather that they do not seem to give much concern as to whether or not the Bangladeshi population are satisfied as far as their security is concerned. I admit that we are ruled by morons with almost no lobbying in the US or anywhere else for that matter on such matters.

I've seen articles written by Western defense specialists on Bangladesh which use Indian sources as references. And many of them are either exaggerated or outright lies.

The other 2Ds like Democracy and Development are kinda laughable if you ask me. More like to add more flavor.

If I were PM of BD I would had recognize Palestine and Israel simultaneously and use Israel for our leverage. India learned a lot from Israel and how to make best use of 9/11 in their favor.

Bangladesh should safeguard its national interests first.

Don't listen to any country if it will create problems to your national interests.

Sri Lanka rejects India's call to withdraw army from north

Sri Lankan president has rejected a call by Indian legislators to withdraw soldiers from the former war zone in the north, his spokesman said Sunday.

President Mahinda Rajapakse told a delegation of visiting Indian lawmakers that troops could not be pulled out despite the end of the decades-long Tamil separatist war in 2009.

"The president explained that there are troops elsewhere in the country as well," spokesman Bandula Jayasekera told AFP. "They are not only in the north."

The visiting delegation was the first team of Indian MPs to visit Sri Lanka since Sri Lankan forces crushed the Tamil Tiger rebels, ending an ethnic conflict.

Indian opposition leader Sushma Swaraj and the cross-party delegation met with Rajapakse on Saturday.

Sri Lankan forces have a strong presence across the north, which was badly damaged during decades of fighting.

That's why your kind won't be able to become PM via legitimate methods but have to depend on
back door channels and blessing of foreign masters.

Till this day our patriotic people are wondering whether we need the Armed Forces at all.

Bangladesh had and will have excellent relation with China. China-BD relationship is strategic and can not be compared with any other country. China understand BD limitation and never put is in a dilemma when it comes to relationship with other country. They even dont mind increased trade relationship with India either.

Please do us a favor and don't comment on my posts. I don't think you understand what I am talking about. It probably flies right over your head.

I know that. Only people with their brain in their @ss have a fair chance of becoming a PM in Bangladesh. Are you the next contender?

US wants to open a consulate at Tripura ---one of the backward and poorest state of India??? I am smelling something fishy here. What is their main intention!!!

Tripua Per capita income > BD Per Capita Income
Tripura HDI (0.6) > Bangladesh HDI (0.5)
Tripura Literacy > BD Literacy

If Tripura is backward and poor, Bangladesh is a s**thole.

Fact about Tripura- it is a state where number of refugees is more than natives.

All Indian states surrounding BD have higher HDI than Bangladesh. Actually there is no Indian state which has lower HDI than BD.

Bangladesh HDI in 2011 - 0.5.

As someone has said, if Tripura is backward and poor then Bangladesh is sh!thole.

HDI is calculated based on govt provided data. We set higher standard than India in those calculated data. So India will always look bright. But in reality its just opposite.

@Labong babu, I think that you have mistakenly posted a incorrect map of your
motherland. At least being patriotic , you should know the correct map of your country.
