US very concerned about successful Iranian rocket launch

A JF17 program is way more complicated than an SLV. If fighter jets were that easy, iran would have made many instead of showing models.

Most of the ppl here have no knowledge and no idea and commenting as if experts in space technology. Some pakistanis sincere to irani mullahs even curse Pakistan and show as if Pakistan is bavkward lol. Some even blame SUPARCO and what not. These idiots think space technology is all about launching rockets, infact that is the easiest part. Iran might as well just wouldve launched a rock, an SLV is just multi staged rocket. Pakistan can make its own SLV in no time if required but why waste money and reinvent the wheel??? If china provide cheap taxi service, why we need an SLV? Space technology actually has nothing to do with "launch technology", tjere are way more complicated things in space technologies than SLV.

LOL ... I took a screenshot from your post !

the shahab part worked what didn't worked was second stage and we see in qased the used a different second stage . so I doubt simorgh second stage was problem free
You failed to address my point. What if the missile was fine but they messed with it on purpose? I think we will never know the answer to this question. But here's another one: Why couldn't they figure out the problem after 2 failed launches?

And what about holding Iran's space program back for 5 years? What's your excuse for that? What about promoting the JCPOA-2 after the first JCPOA turned out to be a disaster?

the first jcopa was not rouhani brain child it was all of the islamic republic that approved it and well they are working on it thats why they used a smaller second stage on Qased as the previous one was a little underpowered for its weight.
if the missile was fine IRGC would have used it instead of Qased

Are you retarded or what? Or do you want to escape from answering because you can't really answer it? Here's the question for you again:

Why did Rouhani talk about "JCPOA-2" after Trump pulled out of the JCPOA and the JCPOA turned out to be an embarrassing deal for Iran? You can't answer it. Can you?

The missile was/is fine. Just because the IRGC went for a different SLV, one that it had under development for a decade, doesn't mean that there's a problem with Simorgh. Simorgh's first suborbital flight was a success. And all the 3 stages of the missile worked as expected in the last launch by the ISA but the satellite failed to reach the orbit. That puts the blame completely on the ISA.

Just FYI:

The proposed budget for the Iranian year 1393 (2014–2015) is 1,865,583 million rials (US$71,753,192). Other related organizations have received separate budget allocations. Iranian Space Research Center has received an additional 1,751,000 million rials (US$67,346,100) of budget for the year 1393.[5]

The budget for the year 2008 was mentioned to be US$3.9 billion (2008).[6] However it was not apparent whether the allocation was just for one year or a longer period.

Under president Hassan Rouhani, the proposed 2017-budget for the Iranian Space Agency fell to a low of US$4.6 million.[7]

safir never was low risk , it is a rocket at its limits and even before rouhani it didn't had high succcess rate , when it come to safir every thing is at its limit and there is no place for tolerance.
It was certainly a far lower risk than the simorgh that had never had a single successful flight, the safir at least had had 4 successful flights, tho only one of these was during rouhanis tenure.
The most telling thing about the decrepit state of the space program was that the 3rd attempt to launch a safir never even got off the ground,it was left sitting on the pad after a fire.:tsk:

4.6 million, thats a joke. You cant expect to successfully launch anything with a budget like that.

This means that soon iran will have the tech to hit NY. Ofcourse necessity is the mother of all inventions. I am confused why Pakistan has not done this

Reach NY --- not "hit."

Pakistan has not done many things that were in its own interest because our civ and mil leaders have had greater personal interests.

but Simorgh is not 3 stage its 2 stage why you are repeating wikipedia nonsense . the first sub orbital launch was succesful because the second stage did not tested in it . then in second launch , the second stage failed . in third launch second stage only worked for 20 second and as a result Payam satellite was lost , in 4th test the second stage burned as long as it should but somehow failed to provide enough trust and as a result Zafar-1 failed to achieve stable orbit and also lost . you see every time second stage had problem and thats why Qased have another second stage which is smaller and can carry smaler payload until we figure out the problem with simorgh second stage and fix it.

tell me how much of budget at the time of previous government were actually given to them. also how much was ahmadinejad oil revenue and how much was previous and later government oil revenue ?

at last you call me a moron for stating fact about the simorgh .
what I must call you who think Simorgh is a three stage rocket and invent stories about what was poblem with it while it is actully a two stage rocket

The problem is not whos building them but who is launching them,or rather FAILING to launch them in this case.
Why IRGC didn't use simorgh and used Qased if the rocket has no problem ?

we don't knew what happened that time , and as I said first stage of Simorgh always worked correctly , it was its second stage that had problem . and don't forget Safir was developed and planned at the time of khatami nt Ahmadinejad , well unless you think you can build space program in just one year

My advice to U.S about what it should do regarding its opinion on Iranian sat launch:

lets just say the second stage itself is a problem. someone on twitter mentioned it and i should agree with them. our engineers apparently forgot to change the engines nozzle for the vacuum operations. just compare simorgh 2nd stage to something that works. i don't think those engines are going to work, even if we launch the damn thing a 1000 times...

As for Rohanni...you give him too much credit...here is a short list of his Treasons (I am sure in few decade MI6 will reveal how they were able to infiltrate in to Iran via Rohanni as their prime agent).
1- closed Iran's enrichment facilities for two years (got nothing in return when he was nuclear negociator)
2- Closed Iran's Space agency for 5 years (when he became president)
3- made Iran's 50% share of Caspian sea in to 11% (caved in to Russian)
4- Signed JCPOA and implemented all of Iran's closures and Uranium destruction in the first few month before American even lifting a finger!.
5- Sold 18 billion dollars of Iranian gold reserves when Trump tore up the deal which resulted in further slide in Iranian currency (UAE and Saudi Arabs bought most of that gold at cheap Iranian currency and removed the gold from Iran).
6- Managed to be one of the few initial countries outside China to bring Corona virus by refusing to implement border and flight closures.

Now ...If I was an MI6 director I would put Rohannis name in a golden emblem as the UK's most valuable agent.

Yikes

Actually the engines used in the second stage have had skirt extensions fitted to the nozzle for more efficient vacuum operation. The lower shiny section of the nozzle is the skirt extension.
Part of the problem was that back in the 2000s when the simorgh was still being designed iran really had little choice with the rocket engine technology at its disposal and basically had to try and either modify or adapt whatever rocket engines that it had access too rather than attempting building ones from scratch.
At this point it would make more sense from both a technological and performance perspective to look at totally redesigning the simorgh to use the khorramshahrs 4d10 engine,or better yet to acquire the rd250/paektusan engine from the dprk and build a heavy weight booster with the ability to put tons of payload into leo.
However to actually do this would require a fully functional space program, which sadly iran simply does not have at the moment........

And it's disappointing to see these poster don't even know, US have technology to shot rockets in mid air.
