According to experts, the relations between the two nations have improved in the last year or so, especially after Imran Khan’s meetings with Donald Trump.

Talking to Reuters, a State Department’s spokeswoman told that the program “provides an opportunity to increase bilateral cooperation between our countries on shared priorities”.

We want to continue to build on this foundation through concrete actions that advance regional security and stability.

Under the program, 66 Pakistani armed forces officers will also go to study different courses at U.S. military education institutions, such as the U.S. Army War College and the U.S. Naval War College.

Thanks but no thanks. Let's keep WELL AWAY from the americans. They're just trouble. Nothing more.

You’re absolutely right. The original Reuters article said that the training program was a small part of the original and cancelled $2-billion aid program. Some have deliberately indulged in fake news to claim a new $2-billion aid package based on a clear misrepresentation of what the Reuters article said.

I classify this as a fake news because even middle school kids wouldn’t make the leap from what the Reuters article said to this bold faced lie.

Nothing wrong with the arrangement. The relations have been strained for the past decade or so but overall Pakistan has greatly benefited from American hardware as well as Pakistani officers getting trained in America for decades. Let's not discount the influence of American technology, hardware, and training on making Pakistani military a robust force against India.

Just be careful in what is being asked as payback. Not hard to do: Pakistanis have a loooong experience dealing with Americans in security arrangements.

The Americans are again back to square one. That much is clear. From announcing the end of Pakistan to resuming military trainings. Who is going to take these Americans seriously? A bunch of sleezy scumbags. No honor or code. Is this what America represents? LOL I can only laugh at such cowards. Not a shred of credibility. Not an ounce of respect.

America needs to bow its head in shame. LOL this is the same country that accuses Pakistan of double dealings and God knows everything else. Today they are begging for the resumption of military trainings. You wonder what happened in such a short time. Probably Yankee balls dropped from their pants.
