US spells out terms of engagement with Pakistan

And they are

English please

He is not coming for Afghanistan. There are many others involved in Afghanistan. Pakistan cannot do any thing in Afghanistan bro. Iran Russia China all are in Afghanistan. Pompeo is not coming for Afghanistan he is coming to for other things.

How can you get a working relation with the US when it demands Pakistan to cut ties, most importantly mutually beneficial ties. with China?
No one is going to cut ties with China. USA is living a dream.

most of the Randians should learn to mind their own goddamn business no ones give a shit what dotheads think

I know 'no ones give a shit what dotheads think'

But I guess you totally support Mr Hilali, don't you ?

No need to reply, nobody gives ........ :p:

If all people in the developing countries are willing to trade mutually beneficial relationships for some bs aid as low as 300 million, then China might as well just surrender right now to the US. There’d be no point in resisting.
Its not about aid please read and try to understand my posts. Its about saving one self
from harm both physical and economic as you save your self and your family from a mad dog or a gangster. I hope you understand and stop
Writing such childish posts.

This the current situation of USA in Afghanistan. They have a failed policy there and they are pointing fingers at every one else.

And this internal reflection just happen to miraculously coincide with US decision to withhold aid and takes place in a thread about US demand for Pakistan to cut ties with China. It doesn’t take a genius to see what is going on. Also, I have been reading posts from that “US cut 300 million aid...” thread so I am aware that there has been a change of heart. You must be one of them right, thinking of China as a “mad dog” or a “gangster”? I am not criticizing anyone here. I am simply disappointed at how naive I was.

USA is getting really vicious.
I don't think there is anything we can do to make them understand.
They are pretending to leave Afghanistan, but Infact they wanted more chaos and stay.
They would put more sanction on Pakistan and try to hurt our economy. They wanted to bring Afghanistans war into Pakistan.
In that situation they can question the security of our nuclear assets and then ask us to roll back our project.
Seriously we cannot have same goals now.
It would be interesting how Imran would tackle usa.

Long gone are the days when US could dictate policy affairs for the Pakistani governments.

A working Relation however is on the cards for the best interest of both the parties.

Avoid issuing any popular statements whatsoever, be diplomatically polite, reach out to the US media and public and walk the talk keeping low profile :-)

Yanks gone Mad nothing more Afghani hash is showing results

This is what it's al about. United States policy in South Asia even as far back as 1960s has been largely determined by the China factor. America wants -

  • India to focus on being a bulwark against China and Pakistan to support India in that effort instead of hindering it. This practically means it requires Pakistan to accept Indian hegemony in South Asia and give India free hand in Afghanistan.
  • In that sense Pakistan is paying the price for US displeasure thanks the China Factor. We have reached critical point in history. China must step forward and insure Pakistan for the cost it is bearing thanks to the China Factor.
  • China needs to step up and offer substantive help to offset the costs for the China Factor. This should be extra grants, investment and preferential trade access.
  • If China does not step up in effect Pakistan is taking punishment thanks to China without Beijing compensating which makes the Sino/Pak relationship a expensive proposition.
  • Pakistan needs to revisit the relationship with Beijing and ask for a more fairer deal.

This was readily apparent even at the dawn of US invasion of Afghanistan. We knew the change about to come in Kabul could easily end up favoring India as the status quo that wa about to be removed favoured Pakistan. Pakistan failed to have a Plan B in place and has suffered ever since.
Agreed. This is exactly whats happening.
  • US support for India is not against Pakistan, but to counter China.
  • In return, India's interests (e.g., in Afghanistan) get overlooked (just like Pakistan's nuclear programme was overlooked during the 80's Afghan war), even backed by US. Trumps Afghan policy statement in 2017 can testify to that. But, US still has reservations regarding India-Russia and India-Iran ties... (probably the only point where the two sides differ).
  • Chinese must be over the moon after realizing that a country like Pakistan (we are not a small country, nuclear, traditionally US allies, an important geopolitical player) chose to ditch US for them... US overwhelming support for Indian presence in Afghanistan might have accelerated this process.
  • Russians, even though apprehensive about India-US ties, realize that this alliance is not directed against their interests. In other words, its China's problem, let them deal with it... however, to counter US's weight in the region, they are building ties with Pakistan as a contingency, just in case India succumbed to US's pressure and decided to let go of the Russians. I say this, because I don't see them threatening India with sanctions, the way US is threatening Pakistan... in fact, they are going ahead with S-400 and Su-35 deal (even when they realize these will be used against China and Pakistan... wtf is Russia up to??... only interested in selling weapons?)... So, I wouldn't count on the Russians to become hostile towards India anytime soon (in fact, it's more likely to be the other way around), even though ties with Pakistan continue to improve...

Off course Pakistan was and is being taken for granted, Previous sold out governments made decisions based on what they personally got out of the deal and couldn't care less for the country, Its time Pakistan revisited all its relationships around the world.

Western Nations refused to give you any weapon that will tilt the balance of power in Pakistan favor, but they got whatever they wanted.

Western Nations didn't give Pakistan any preferential trade agreement, but they got what ever they wanted.

GCC nations didn't give Pakistan any preferential treatment in any sector defense or economics, but they got whatever they wanted.

The Chinese gave Pakistan free trade agreement, the Chinese are investing billions in Pakistan's economy, not to mention Pakistan can buy pretty much whatever type of weapons they want with TOT from Chinese. 1962 Chinese told you to take Kashmir Which Pakistan refused because of the Americans.
Excellent post for being spot on. I would give you a positive rating if I could.

Now what needs to be seen is how the Khan administration will respond to the Washington administration.

Hopefully this time around, Khan will tell Washington to back off and mind it's business!

We have nothing to do with USA's wars!
