I only want betterment of Pakistan but I am realistic in my thought process. I do not harbor any illusions of Pakistan being untouchable or such.
You are not paying attention to disclosures of SMQ. I have viewed them all, and I see in them ample hints. You are misreading certain things.
Trump administration is giving PTI-led government a chance in having a working relationship with it, therefore, this meeting was set on a positive note.
Pompeo have clearly conveyed to Pakistani top brass that "he said; she said politics" will not work. Both countries will have to find common grounds on issues to move forward. There is no such thing as Pakistan dictating its course. There was no posturing in this meeting, from our end. It was not feasible.
Be humble.
Exactly, This is where Pakistan will have get the rebels to negotiate a deal in keeping in mind the Pakistanis can't be undermined. It also depends on if the Kabul government will accept power-sharing and re-writing the constitution. Support by the Afghan Public may also sway both sides to negotiate an amicable and realistic deal.
