It is big message to SDF forces and commanders that you are not free to act base on your interests you just can obey and implement American orders.

Its the usual propaganda, bomb Syrian military units and blame them for attacking Kurds. This time no Syrian military units were anywhere near where the supposed attack happened but the US fabricated more stories how Syrian positions attacked Kurds.

Its a failure to launch for the Kurds backed by the yanks. The kurds fell prey to their promises and it just failed.

The question is, when will the kurds learn not to trust USA?

During Saddam USA betrayed the kurds and they got gassed.

In North Iraq USA betrayed them again.

And now in north Syria USA bombs them by "accident".

We simply need to ask one question:
USA is at risk of war with North Korea and Iran at the moment and later on with China and Russia.

USA also needs all the help it can get to protect Israel right now.

The question is under these circumstances can the USA really afford to lose Turkey?

I think this will happen more often now, as Israel is about to enter Syria. Before this entry, whole area will be pasteurized. The task of the folks, now the target, is over, as Most of the Syrian area near Israel is evacuated by local inhabitants. Euphrates is in easy reach of Israel.

Funny enough, Russia has had quite good relations and no real enmity with Kurdish armed groups from soviet times(PKK itself was modelled on Soviet communist doctrine and financed by Moscow during that era) to modern day Russia itself. Russia has no real issue with the Kurds, same with even Assad and sometimes they have even cooperated with each other when needed. I believe without Turkish intervention in Syria the Kurds would have been allowed to have their own state(or at the minimum self rule) in the long run in Syria. Since there will have been no major power who has as much hostility towards the formation of a quasi self ruling Kurdish state in the country as Turkey. So, it's kind of ironic.

I don't believe this latest news is correct. We have to wait for more credible information to come in.

Yes they do obviously. Every power is out there for their own interests, which is normal in geo politics. Alliances and alignments are intertwined in this messy Syrian quagmire and they tend to shift and change according to the changing situation. Every player is playing their cards keeping in mind their own national interests. Reason I don't blame or bad mouth any of them, since none of them is in the wrong or right per se, well apart from the so called 'leader' of the country Assad which I blame for obvious reasons.
SO, it just depends on each powers capabilities and assets on the ground.
