What's new

US makes it very clear - Will not share sensitive defence tech with India if S-400 is signed

This is the difference between paying for the technology and begging for it via FMA...
India is paying hard cash each time so we don't have to listen to anyone

You mean FMS. Its not begging idiot. Its US subsidizing its weapons and the host paying in instalments. There is no begging, nothing is free.

sorry buddy still not available to you for sale.

India too big for bullied
it's not your call and considering the last few shut up calls putin has given to modi, looks like it's not GONNA be your call anytime in the future either.

Having said that, Pakistan is very carefully watching the S400's performance in Syria...and so far, it has been very disappointing.

hate to bust your bubble, but india is like a big fat woman that easily gets bullied, not a big muscular man that can't get bullied.

Now that India has begun to deal with US, it will soon enough know what a bully its dealing with.

They have nothing to bully us with.We are not dependant on them. Our exports are small not like china or japan or germany. If they sanction us,their companies will lose our market. If we make common cause with china and russia their whole asia pacific strategy would be sunk.We didn't even care about their iran sanctions. We will do whatever is in our national interest,if usa thinks it can order us they are mistaken.

most of your it workers and it companies make their money through the u.s., not europe, China or japan. most of the foreign investments in your country are from mega u.s. corporations like pepsi, coke, microsoft, etc. pulling them all out is a simple matter of a presidential order being signed. those companies can easily relocate to other countries like China or brazil...but it would cause massive unemployment in india...

S-400 is not used in anyway against Israelis, moscow and israel have a deal not to engage each other.Syrians only have much older s-200 and small range systems.

Not really, most of our companies make their money in the domestic market.

 you just lost all credibility right there...the h1b visa restrictions alone has hit your it industry hard...
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/23/ind...s-trumps-h-1b-policy-creates-uncertainty.html

never mind isreal, did you some how miss the american and european air raids and tomahawk missile attacks that the S400s failed to stop? sure, they'll say that we "prewarned" so we didn't use them...but we all know that's just a face saving tactic on moscow's part.

S400s are duds...an overly priced "feel good" weapon, nothing more. and by the way, the same holds true for the american thaad and the aegis, piddly little north korea rubbed it in their faces by shooting mutliple missiles over south korea and japan and they failed to intercept even a single one. there is a reason trumpy has had to agree to negotiate with a psychopath like kim jon-un.

doesn't matter. they aren't selling you weapons to make money. they are selling you weapons to use those weapons where they tell you to which is China. if you do not, which is seeming to be the case, then they have other ways of making you obey.
?? Man who is they? US? ...last thing they want, is to use weapons...if China and India get into a fight...guess whose economy will tank first...so geo-politics is not that straight forward.....Let me give you a similar example...Last thing china would want is a war b/w India and Pakistan...not because they have some love for my sorry brown rear..but because it impacts their economy and geo-politics as well....the best they want is Pakistan to be able to keep India in check...This is exactly what US would want from India as well....

b/w India is little too big to make us obey....may be you don't want to acknowledge that fact and that's fine with me...however most of our(india) independent lifespan we were not enjoying great relations with them anyways...Yankees and India's co-operation is coming out of geo-politics...and is here to stay...there will always be push and pull however in larger interests things will be sorted out...

dude, india is like that old black-n-white movie actress "tuntun", yeah she's big and fat but easy to make her obedient.

further more, of COURSE the u.s. economy would tank BUT for a few days...given the advantage that the u.s. would gain is priceless. I'll spell it out for ya...

1. China and india go to war...
2. China's massive conventional military obliterates india but in the process, becomes very weak CONVENTIONALLY.
3. india is all but finished and in ruins.
4. good ol' uncle sam swoops in, threatens China with the american conventional strength to stop beating india up.
5. u.s. gains conventional military dominance over China in the pacific region since China expended a lot of its conventional firepower against india
6. u.s. gains financial dominance over india through financing the rebuilding of india through its loans and construction companies.

Thats an understatement

Missile defence system V Missile
(Back the missile)

It is at times like these that one starts to ponder that how Big powers play around with countries like India and Pakistan and only if Governments of both Pakistan and India come forward together with combined technology, man power and assets to form a formidable industry to take on the rest of the world in manufacturing, IT, aerospace, agriculture, automobile, petroleum etc. With India's sheer population and Pakistan's natural resources, there would be no stopping to an alliance of both countries and once both would have proved themselves together, all the big three USA, Russia and China, would be literally wanting both countries to join their team with extra-ordinary incentives.

But here we are, aircraft carrier instead of hospitals, missiles instead of schools, Nuclear weapons instead of different types of research centers in all cities. Sheer waste of talent and resources. Money going into weaponry causing more debts.

so as long as the indians have the mindset that they want to be the decision makers in the subcontinent, it's not gonna happen. Us Pakistanis just don't have it in our dna to be told what to do, especially by india.

bold part is naive..not sure if you are doing it on purpose...so let me try to explain....US has conventional military dominance over China...they can even win battle in Pacific however the key is "if they want".....but then there is cost for it...and nothing would justify that cost.....If we go back few decades(read korean war) China didn't even had nukes and their conventional strength was nothing close to what they are now...even then US/China didn't go for war...and the reason was same...cost!!...what would you gain...nothing nada!!....they could not overpower korean peninsula...vietnam and for that matter Afghanistan....now multiply that by 10000 and there is China for you... So sorry but this conventional dominance is sh1t...they have this over Russia and can't do jack...and they can't do jack against China...they can't do jack against Pakistan as well(should Pakistan economy is more stable)...like it or not...India is no pushover...you may think we are tuntun...or anybody else...facts wont change...

you are answering your own objection. What you are failing to realize is that China's conventional strength right now is challenging america's pacific dominance...let's face it, 20 years ago, no one could ever imagine China's naval ships closely following the u.s. navy fleets or PLAAF Navy's fighter planes closely buzzing american planes. just didn't happen. and the answer to your own objecttion is the cost that both will have to pay...that is why the u.s. wants to deflect that cost on india. india bears the brunt of China's conventional strength in all 3 theatres (air, land and sea) and gets destroyed while China becomes very weak which will restore america's overwhelming dominance of the pacific that it used to once have.

if you still don't understand how the chessboard is laid out then I'm afraid your just ignoring the harsh reality on purpose. it is dangerous to be america's enemy, but it is fatal to be their friend. india is gonna learn this the hard way.
