US Launches Cyberstrikes to disable Iran’s missile systems

These are fake news for a very simple reason. The US is much more reliant on computer networks and is much more vulnerable to hacking attacks than Iran. If they dared to undergo something like this, they would be wetting their pants just waiting for when and how Iran will hack back.

Your logic is stupid....the US has spent tens if not not hundreds of billions of dollars developing its cyber capabilities over the last couple decades.

The US has actually been much more aggressive in targeting its adversaries in the cyber domain over the last couple years.

And yet it's still hacked by even teenagers from places like Iran and China? Iran easily hacks the us:

You did not actually counter my point.

Acting like a rabid nation is nothing to be proud of.

Here is Iran’s AD center clearly using Windows OS and not even the latest version.

That's assuming they are all connected to the internet which would be rather absurd thing for Iran to do!
These are all independent localized networks with backup after backups! And even if they use spy's and human assets on the ground to go after each network at best all your doing is effecting command centers and not the actual systems ability to launch missiles and that's assuming your able to effect each backup!

So this idea that they are going to send a vires to stop all Iranian missiles is nothing but a delusion! And it's not like Iran's been living under a rock and doesn't understand IT and cybersecurity!

This thinking that a computer needs to be connected to internet to be infiltrated is not rooted in reality.

Why do you think in certain areas (meetings) there are NO CELLPHONES allowed. Because even if the SIM CARD is taken out and the phone is turned off, World intelligence agencies have ways to turn it back on and gain a signal. That is why Osama Bin laden had zero cellphones near him while hiding in Pakistan and his carriers did not use their cellphones unless they were far away from his location.

So this notion that if your cut off form internet then you are “safe” is borderline naive IMO. If that were the case then the Chinese wouldn’t be able to hack into the top secert mainframes of the Pentagon all the way from China.

False. There are air sealed systems that are literally disconnected. You have EM shields and 100ft of steal and concrete which prevent communication to outside no matter whether there is a hardware embedded transmitter or not. You cannot violate physics.

However, if there are bad security designs, you will have ways to penetrate. Stuxnet was an example. But any Stuxnet style breach, will not grant a real-time control to the hacker.

There is alot of science based methods of breaching a tight system and there is a lot of psuedo science garbage.

Irrelevant example. That is a mainframe system that is designed to only be accessed by those in the room.

That’s not how command and control/radar centers/Missile batteries work by nature they TRANSMIT/RECIEVE information (wether on intra/inter-net is irrelevant). If it transmits or receives information to/from outside that information can be manipulated/jammed/hacked etc.

“You cannot violate physics” applies in this case as well.

well Iran is just getting started wait for more surprises.

“We shall not stand idly by if signatory countries will not find a way out for Iran to regain its trade, energy and commercial position in the international market. If sanctions are not lifted one way or another, we are only at the beginning of the crisis. Much more can be expected. Iran will never accept to be disarmed of its missiles because they are a guarantee for its security and that of the region. Today Iran is much stronger, enjoying the support of the population and harmony between the political and military leadership. We shall not submit and no negotiation with Trump can be expected as long as sanctions are hovering over our heads. The world should expect more surprises in the coming days because Iranians refuse to starve. Therefore, we are no longer afraid of any war, even more significant against a superpower country”.

U.S. WORKING ON COVERT OPERATION PLANS AGAINST IRAN -REPORT
By TAMAR BEERI

According to officials that spoke with the New York Times, US army and intelligence officers are working on operations that would allow an attack at the Iranians without lifting tensions in the area.
US army and intelligence officers are working on plans for covert operations against Iran in the Persian Gulf in an attempt to deter Tehran without increasing existing tension and leading to war, according to officials that spoke with the New York Times.

The officials did not provide details of these secret operations, but several options have been considered: More cyber attacks, disabling Iranian boats, or the more on-the-ground approach of spreading false information so as to undermine support for the Iranian regime. They stated that the CIA has secret plans to respond to Iranian provocation.

The Americans' goal is to develop capabilities for a cyber attack as allegedly carried out last Thursday. These moves by the US come after tensions grew between the countries due to Iran's attacks of the Persian Gulf oil tankers and the downing of a US drone.

The cyber attacks were aimed at an Iranian intelligence group that the US is sure is standing behind the attack on the tankers. The intention was to shut down Iranian computers that control rockets and launch missiles, according to the Washington Post.

You think we live in a world where a power such as Iran doesn't understand these things and wouldn't take necessary steps to prevent it? You think Iran is going to just use any computer for high security fields such as this??

As I said such a virus will at best disable a command and control network for a short time before it's backup kick in until they are repaired. And the missiles themselves operate on a completely closed system and what exactly do you think Iran will do once a command and control network goes down? You think they'll just site there? Clearly not specific preplanned orders to specific units will go out....

Are you delusional enough to think a U.S. president cancelled a strike while it's aircraft had taken off because he cares about the deaths of 150 Iranian military personal? Clearly NOT! What a U.S. president cares about is his own casualty numbers and that's the number that changes rapidly because radars start going on one after another and systems start moving around to prep for launch! And what the U.S. president didn't like was the cost the U.S. would have payed just to kill 150 Iranians & yes U.S. could easily launch projectile against coastal Iranian targets from outside the range of most Iranian SAM systems but clearly once they do that they would have to deal with immediate Iranian retaliation and I believe that's what became clear to trump during the operation and it's the main reason he pulled back!

are these systems connected to internet ?

Iranian SAM are all on closed systems it would be absurd for Iran to connect it's SAM's or Ballistic Missile to the internet. Why would they do that? And if the U.S. had a magic wand that with a push of button could disable Iranian Missiles even for a short while they sure as hell wouldn't use it until absolutely necessary during an actual military conflict. Because that would be a card the U.S. would wanna keep in it's back pocket and only use it during a conflict much like an EMP.

According to Iranian officials last year alone Iran fought off 33 million cyber attacks with it's national firewall alone so Iran is no stranger to this sort of thing and fully understands what systems should and should not be closed off.

And continued U.S. cyber attacks on Iran will continue to increase the capabilities of Iranian systems and it gives Iran access to American cyber weapons that Iran can then turn around and modify for it's own use. And yes if they put enough effort into it the U.S. can hit and disrupt operations at Iranian command and control centers for a short while just as Iran has done to U.S. command and control centers in the past as a response to U.S. attacks
