US Considering Formal Apology

Pakistan should talk of accepting apology if they provide compensation of all the damages NATO has done, infrastructure and human lives. And ask them to stop drone attacks and instead give the location of suspected terrorists to Pak army to take action. Toll charges should also be asked to pay. Until these demands are fulfilled, no apology acceptance, no supply opening.

A formal apology changes everything for the simple reason an apology is only issued when there is confirmation of fault from them. An apology confirms it was their fault and nobody else - so not only are they liable for what happened - they cant hold and declare the moral ground. Lovers of the USA will find it difficult to accept that their moronic chaps were responsible for such an hideous act. So many i have heard idiots say "lets wait and see" - well a formal apology will be confirmation of fault and an acceptance of liability.

Why don't they show the pics of OBL to pakistan's public as a part of apology?

Bathysphere is been kept somewhere as a relic in NY Zoological Society  ... Can you think of any other way they can retrieve his body ?

We need every criminal, who celebrated death of our soldiers.

There were Americans, Afghans & Bhartis..... we need all of them.

More than logistic nightmare in Afghanistan its Pakistan's ANP loosing money on trucking business.

Blockage is helping in two ways:
1- halting weapons supply to TTP and BLA
2- checking the flow of finance to anti Pakistan elements inside Pakistan.

thats not on topic at all (they can share the pictures with Pasha & Kyani to show what we missed, if they cant show it to the world for whatever excuses Obama made)

the NATO supplies are not blocked due to OBL raid and the ties are not cut off because OBL was caught in his pajamas.

it far more serious, they attacked 2 posts which they were monitoring for sometime and in our view it was not a mistaken identity but a preplanned attack. their account differs and thats were we are at.

Let's wait and see who issues the apology, and whether its wording includes liability or not, and if so, in what manner. Then let's wait and see whether it is accepted wholly, or partly.

In any case, the bilateral relationship will move on, which is the important point I think.

rewrite the new working relationship until the peaceful settlement in Afghanistan is reachedby the way

PPP Govt is already supporting the compromise

Rewriting will only leave the relationship to be rewritten yet again when the US will see the time is right.

Can't say anything about IK though as it will be his first time. but if the usual parties come again in the next elections they will surely try to take make sure they do not get any cent short for doing the job for US nd going the extra mile at least under the table.

ensuring the SOPs and ROE are followed with better communication and prevention of any similar incidents in the future,

How many times do they have to ensure that the SOPs and ROE are in being implemented correctly and effectively? If the SOPs and ROE were not effective and implemented correctly after all the repeated attacks, what guarantee is there that they will be effective and implemented and not just some talk for public consumption.

Just one question if IK wins the coming elections who has the chances of being the COAS in his term? It might very much depend on him as well as to where the top brass goes? Will it go the same way as the current brass or will it change it's course.

Moving on... aren't you!

Warn't you were the staunch proponent of the parliamentary committee deceleration?

I have no problems moving on when the time is right. PNSC still is deliberating the formal proposals to set new rules for the relationship. Let's wait and see what they come up with.

OBL shouldve apologised for 9/11....damn :hitwall:

My bad shouldve posted it with sarcastic words....US kills people n then apologises..why the hell wouldve obl apologised...US should also apologise to their own people for lieing to them abt 9/11!!!! n what do u know...US smart people bought the whole drama!!!

9-11 exposed the existing divide in the world.

There are large amount of people willing to believe in lie as their personal choice. You can't convince them.

...and what do you know US people bought that obl was killed in abbotabad...without seeing any proof! :woot:

Peace but not peace at any price.... the likes of 9/11 can go to hell, our concern, the crime and tragedy took place on 26/11.

If a formal apology is coming then before any settlements, Pakistan should demand all the culprits behind the murder of our soldiers, exposed and handed over for trial or at least brought to justice.

Let's see what form the apology takes and whether it is accepted and to what extent.

I'm not sure how Americans think but i believe they are misguided by the govt. and recent mass migrants from an enemy state of Pakistan.
