Well obviously it wasn't developed by US or some other country with an established defence industry but the more it is used by PAF and other Air Forces the more ppl will get to find out it's capabilities.

People specially those from our Eastern flank are reading too much into this.....no joy for you characters.
The US may have blocked the transfer of F-16s from Jordan but has the US refused to sell the aircraft provided we finance them.!!!
The transfer doesn't benefit US unless we get them upgraded in America however selling directly to us for hard cash is in US interest....keep in mind the issue of Eight F-16s which has become bone of contention.

Our Finance minister walks around like a thief on TV since it was known his asset rise after becoming minister was 90 percent.

Why do we need the yankies here?.
Its very simple ,we have invested huge chunk in JF-17 and its a perfect fighter with great allround capabilities and has been proven in combat,We know the limitations it has.
Next we should induct the 5th Generation platform ,Pakistan could surprise the world here with either TFX or Chinese platform which have been offered,It seriously doesn't make sense to be wanting those F-16s .....I think the minister was arguing for a bygone case or that the policy maker has lost his mind.

You should worry about your own dilemma.... even during relative peacetime, some 35% of your MKIs are grounded due to spare issues....what will IAF do in case of a conflict.

Other options are Turkey's TAI and cannibalization of older models.

THIS IS A MASSIVE STRATGIC CHANGE ------ I'm don't think most Pakistanis realise the effect of NO USA backing for PAF and its govt is going to have long term especially in a conflict with india

Global real time satalite intel
spares and parts
And even special forces advice will be supported and approved to india

I think USA is itching to get INDIA on side
